Guess who came to visit this week? GJ! Maxwell and I loved having her here. She got lots of good snuggle time in with the baby because he did not want to be put down for one second! I think he was in either my arms or my mom’s arms for the past 48 hours. Spoiled? Definitely.
GJ was just what the doctor ordered. She let me sleep for 2 three hour stretches. Considering most of my recent sleeping has been propped up with the baby like this…
It was really nice to be able to sleep in my bed with no interruptions! I feel like a new person!
As promised, here are some more of my favorites…
I’m saving my absolute favorite picture for the announcements. I’ll share it after they’ve been sent. Also, I can’t say enough good things about the photographer we used, Catherine Mayo. One of the best parts is that she gives you the cd of all the images so you can do anything you want with them! Fantastic! If you are in the area and need a photographer, I highly recommend her!
As I mentioned a few posts ago, we had a photographer come in and take some shots of Maxwell when he was 10 days old. I was soooo excited for these photos and just wanted to get some great shots of my sleepy newborn all curled into a ball. Well, Maxwell had other plans. I was afraid all of the pictures were just going to be of the back of his throat because he cried almost the entire time. When he wasn’t crying he was pooping on me and the chair, peeing all over the blanket and just being generally very fussy. Let’s just say I don’t think he has a future in modeling! The photographer (Catherine Mayo) was so patient and stayed for two and a half hours trying to get some good shots in. When she sent me the cd a few days later I had very low expectations but was honestly blown away. She totally captured some fantastic moments of my cute little guy. Below are a few of my favorites…

Hope you all had a great weekend. We had some beautiful weather here and it made me very happy. While it’s still hot in the middle of the day, the mornings and evenings are cool and starting to feel like fall. The best! Our big adventure this weekend? We went out to dinner with the baby. We just went to grab a burger but I don’t think Robert and I have ever eaten so fast in our lives! The conversation was pretty boring too considering we were both just staring at Maxwell the whole time praying he wouldn’t wake up. But, we made it through and now we know we can do it! Bring on the restaurants! Maxwell also ate from a bottle for the first time on Sunday. Big stuff!
Maxwell, of course, watched lots of football with his Dad this weekend. We put him in his game day socks to show his AL spirit!
Yes, those are elephants on his socks. Roll Tide! And, no, I don’t think they’re supposed to be knee socks! 🙂
Alabama won as did Arkansas and Vandy! A great day for all my favorite teams! Man, when did I start caring so much about college football? Guess it was around the time I met Robert! 🙂
