It’s black, it’s white

October 25, 2010

First, happy birthday to my cousin Amy yesterday! Amy is one of my most loyal blog readers and commenters and we are all hoping she had a fabulous birthday!

Second, I was taking some photos of Maxwell last week in his cute whale onesie and captured these two shots that I just love. I can’t decide if I like them better in color or black & white though. What do you think?

Photo 1…

and Photo 2…

So…what’s your opinion? color? or black & white?

I can’t decide between black and white and color but why do we have to – we can have the best of both worlds! Love both of these shots – such a precious little baby boy! Cute onesie, too!

I’d say color. I do like the b/w, too, though. The good thing is there’s just no way you can go wrong with such a cute little man!

    Good Morning,

I was excited to see such wonderful pictures of Maxwell and read the blog about your visit. I know that you had a good time and such a warm reception. They all seemed please to see you and the baby. You are fortunate to have Jan to help and make such a trip possible.

The color shots of Maxwell are really good. I prefer the color. You are making good use of your camera. Keep up the good work.

We enjoyed your visit very much.

thanks for the birthday wishes! It was a good day and I got some much needed new clothes and rain boots, and got to see Granddaddy at home! I choose #1 in color, #2 in B/W. Just like the others. I think they’re all adorable anyway of course. 🙂

I agree that you can’t go wrong either way, but I vote color – it shows off his beautiful skin!

I think the color photos are better because they show how cute the outfits he has are. Also, he has a very healty looking skin tone. That really causes him to look great!

1 in color and 2 in b/w; initials show up in color better than b/w, but I’m a b/w fan. A few of Anna and Amy was all we ever took, and I wish we’d done more for posterity. B/W prints have held up for the long run, and are so classic. 100 years from now Maxwell’s great grandchildren will get to see how handsome he was from the start. Talented photographer!

They are all so precious! It’s hard to say, but I think I like the color better. We enjoyed seeing you all Sat. Maxwell has grown so much and his smiles and “coos” just melt your heart! Looking forward to T’giving. Hope we can work it out with the gang from H’ville soon.
