and Samantha (who stood by herself for a good 10 seconds yesterday!)
Make it a great weekend!
We definitely enjoyed our long weekend last weekend. It started off with a bang for Maxwell when Robert took him to the Lego BrickFair at the BJCC!
He even came home with two GIANT boxes of Legos – both of which were completed within a day and a half! He’s a Lego machine!
The rest of the weekend? We enjoyed the beautiful weather on Saturday with a neighborhood stroll…
and bundled up for a much chillier stroll on Sunday!
Maxwell missed that walk because he got to go bowling with a buddy!
It was nice to just have an extra day to lay around in our pjs…
eat cake pops for breakfast (thanks Dad!)…
and watch more of the iPad than we should!
We even had special visitors on Monday! Aunt Messy and LuLu!
All in all a great long weekend. I wish we had 3 days weekends every weekend!!
Maxwell has NeNe, Spencer has Puppy, and it looks like Samantha has this little sheep lovey!
She chews on the ear and, let me tell ya, that little ear is now pretty gross! ha! Susan is doing her best to wash it regularly but it’s already showing it’s love! And she only chews on the one ear. So funny.
She actually has two of the same sheep lovey in her bed, but this one – and it’s ear! – is clearly the favorite!
The sheep needs a name though. Ideas?
Around here the last week…
I had to go down to Naples unexpectedly last Friday. GJ had a little procedure but happy to report she is now heart healthy! There were no worries back in Birmingham because Robert held down the fort tremendously!
I got back into town in time to watch the big Championship football game on Monday night! We were dressed in our colors…
and ready to cheer Roll Tide! It was definitely a good game and we were all very pleased with the outcome! Maxwell has especially gotten into watching football with Dad! He asks a LOT of questions…not sure how much Dad was enjoying all those questions during the first half of the game Monday! ha!
Also this week, Maxwell built the Lego Police Station he got for Christmas…
and has been very proud getting all of his Legos displayed in his room!
Spencer has had a little cold (KLEENEX!!) and stayed home from school Tuesday. But, he was feeling better by Thursday so got to go play with Jairus and Sebastian at school.
Samantha has been all over the downstairs in the walker we brought inside. Video here. She’s loved it!

As I’m sure you know, the boys love to draw. Well, Maxwell loves to and Spencer does it often by default just to do what big brother is doing!
Many afternoons are spent just like this…
It makes me happy. Samantha has decided she wants to get in on all the fun too so learned how to open the art cabinet and get out the markers…ALL the markers! She had the best time rolling them all around the floor and then trying to get them out from under the fridge!
So proud!
She’s clearly a little artist in the making and every day has been checking to ensure our supplies are stocked!
She’s a mess but she’s my mess!
