Ya’ll! It feels like Fall!! Woohoo! Highs in the 70s, sunshine with crisp air…few things make me happier than this weather! We even had to pull out pants…

I’ve been around Alabama long enough to know we’ll get another hot snap but I’m enjoying this while it lasts! My favorite season!

Despite a whole lot of rain, we had a winning weekend! Friends over on Friday after school…
and a dinner and night out for Maxwell!

We watched the game with friends on Saturday and, much like the Tide, came away a little battered and bruised but still winning…
All sports got rained out except for golf…
They just played in the rain! Parent child par 3 – no winners but a good time.
We then had a lovely dinner at the club…
I think we all know who was the winner there. Never dull!!

Maxwell had his opening game last week and, well, it was AWESOME!! He’s been practicing so hard and it all paid off! Luckily all of his practices have been at MBE so he can walk there. Very nice for me!

Maxwell was ready for his first game!
This kid played LIGHTS OUT on defense!! He had monster tackles as corner back. In one of the first defensive plays of the game, he tackled the running back (his friend Butler!) and Butler tried to get away but Maxwell didn’t let go, got a hold of that ankle and went for a ride to bring him down. It was awesome. He had another amazing 1 on 1 hit on Butler that made the whole crowd go “oooooh!!” haha! It was great. The best part though? He got an interception!! It was the 4th quarter, Raiders up by one TD and the Packers had a chance to tie if their play worked. But, nope! Maxwell read the play, grabbed the ball out of the air and changed the tide of the game. Go #29!!
It was such a fun way to kick off the season with a big W! Looking forward to more fun games with this crew!
