Geux Saints

November 8, 2021

Who Dat?! What a season the Saints had! Spencer could not have had a better experience for his first year of tackle football! He worked hard, earned more playing time as the season went on, and proved himself at every game! I am so so proud of his hard work and hustle!!

Spencer got to be team captain a few times and also earned player of the game twice!

Spencer primarily played cornerback on defense and rarely let anyone get past his side. He made monster tackle after tackle and loved every second of it! He was also the backup QB for the year and got to go on on some big plays…like this end of game hail Mary pass! It wasn’t caught but it was a great pass!

As the season went on, Spencer got to get in on more and more offensive plays. Whenever anyone would get injured, they threw Spencer in and he always took the opportunity to make something happen! I am so proud of how flexible he was to play any position asked – and to play it well! By the end of the season, it was obvious Spencer should be playing more QB and running back! They started giving him the ball and he had a handful of TDs by the season end!

They ended the regular season in second place. First round of the playoffs and they beat the Cowboys in a great game.

Spencer got to be team captain again…

and he showed up and showed out!! He scored an awesome TD  and would have had a second if there hadn’t been a holding call. It was an awesome game and Saints won 22-6!! Spencer played so well he even got player of the game! Whoop whoop!

Second round of the playoffs and they faced the Packers. No problem for these guys though! Spencer showed up and showed out yet again scoring an awesome TD and great tackles on defense. He did have a fumble at the goal line but the Saints held the other team and pulled out a 14-0 victory!

That win secured their trip to the Super Bowl! I am so proud of my Saint and how hard he has worked all season!!

[…] had another fantastic season of tackle football on the Saints! He had his same coaches as last year – which I think is a huge compliment because that means they picked him in the draft again! […]
