Thank goodness it’s….oh my goodness it’s only Thursday! Has this week just dragged or is it just me? Here’s some pictures from our last night of summer a week and a half ago….

Love these peeps.

Come on Friday!!
Capturing our adventures one photo at a time...

Love these peeps.

Come on Friday!!
Robert and Maxwell spent the weekend at the Father Son event at Falling Creek camp in North Carolina. Considering Maxwell came home saying he wants to go for 2 weeks next summer, I’d say it was a great weekend!! Ready to head out Friday afternoon…

and getting all settled in their cabin.

Throughout the weekend they learned all kinds of valuable life skills like how to throw a hatchet…

how to throw a spear…

how to shoot a rifle…

and how to shoot a bow and arrow!

I’m sure all of those skills will come in handy soon! ๐ ย They also played warrior ball where apparently Maxwell was the champion of more than one game!

And they swam in the lake and went on the zipline…

These two had the best adventure and I’m so glad they got to go!

Can’t wait for next summer! (actually I can wait because the thought of Maxwell being gone for 2 weeks – or even 1 week – makes me want to cry but I know he’ll love it!!)
Am I going to document every single school morning? Maybe. At least I am for now!

Day 3 went great as well!! Woohoo!! and Samantha Lou Retton had a fun time back at gymnastics! Happy to move into the weekend with a great first week under our belt. Happy Friday!
Day 2 went just as good as day 1!

We even got sister in the picture yesterday morning!

No, I did not tell her to pose! She did that all on her own! ha! She’s a mess and I’m so glad she’s MY mess!
Happy for a good start to school!
They both rocked it! What a great first day!
Not surprisingly, I had to wake Spencey up but they were all downstairs and ready in plenty of time…

and then it was off to school!

Kindergarten ready!

and Second Grade ready!

Spencer just wanted to walk over with Maxwell so I didn’t go to the flagpole with them…and I so wish I had. ๐

Thankfully, big brother took care of him and got him into the classroom. Phew. When I picked Spencer up at 2:00 he was all smiles!! Hooray!!

I think he had a GREAT day and even got a smiley in his notebook!

Maxwell was home an hour later and, from what I got out of him, had a fantastic day too. I think he was just so happy to be back with all of his friends all day. He and Spencer even both bought lunch – pizza!

Now we get to get up and do it all again tomorrow! Ready for a fun year!
