Who needs a laugh to start the week off?

What a difference 3 years make….

Where did my babies go?!

Like the last few years, we did two weeks of swim lessons with Coach Laura. Previous lessons here – 2017, 2016, and 2015. Before that we did them at the JCC.
Samantha did a two week session and Spencer joined her for the last week for a few refresher lessons. They both did excellent. There was not one single tear from Samantha this year and she absolutely loved being in the pool the entire time. In between her turns she would swim on the steps, play on the beach, and mainly try to get the attention of everyone else at the pool! ha! She especially loved having her BFF from school, John, there and his older brother Stephen! It was not uncommon to hear her yell “Hey Steeeephen! Watch me!” 🙂

Samantha had no problem making herself comfortable at swim lessons!! ha!

GJ even got to come watch one day!

Samantha and John…

Spencer with James and Stephen…

Walking up the loooong drive!

and checking out Coach Laura’s chickens!

Maxwell was out of school for the last day of lessons so he got to come with us and swim!

Spencer swimming on the last day and Samantha swimming on the last day.
We all got to get a little treat afterward. Well deserved after all that great swimming!!

Since Maxwell just decided he knew how to ride a bike, we needed to get him one that actually fit him! We went up to Cahaba Cycle to check out the options and he took one for a spin around the parking lot…

It’s a 24 inch bike which seems big for him now but will grow with him until at least age 12. Despite it being big, Maxwell handled it with no problem! He was pretty excited (even though the bike isn’t red). Of course Samantha had no problem entertaining herself at the bike store! ha!

When we got home Maxwell was off and running…rather, off and cycling!!

Like last year and the year before and the year before that, Robert took the boys to a Barons game with his company.

They were excited and totally into the game much more than in years past! Thankfully Spencer didn’t get lost this year, but Robert did let them have Diet Coke and I think the caffeine had quite the effect!

Combine that with the cookies they had for dinner and these boys were wired! ha!

A fun night at the ballpark!
