See you tomorrow!
First, Happy Birthday Jen! Hope it’s a GREAT one!
Second, hope you all had a good weekend. Ours was nice with fantastic temps in the 70s on Saturday! We had tons of rain on Sunday which is no fun but I’ll take that over the heat. Our weekend went a little something like this…
Spencer looked cute…

and then got to wear shoes for the first time! I used to put shoes on Maxwell all the time when he was a baby but I’ve literally never put them on Spencer’s feet until Friday. But, I think I want him to wear shoes to school so he needs to get used to them!

He wasn’t quite sure about them at first but then got used to them. I think his little fat legs look so cute in them! 🙂
Speaking of shoes, Maxwell got some new shoes for school! Zappos delivered 3 new pair on Friday…

Maxwell loved them all and kept running circles in the house saying “these make me fast!”

Unfortunately, his new shoes didn’t keep him from falling Saturday morning while helping Dad in the yard. He bit it on the concrete and we had to patch up a scraped leg and elbow with some band-aids. It wasn’t all that bad though but he was a *bit* dramatic about it! Skinned elbow = traumatic I guess! By that afternoon he had fortunately made a full recovery and we took a field trip to Bass Pro. Robert needed to get something and it’s always a fun place for Maxwell to explore…

That night we grabbed some pizza and Spencer got to sit in this retro high chair…funny.

Sunday morning things were looking good and we headed to church…

And then, when leaving church, Maxwell once again bit it on the concrete and ended up with knees that looked like this…

Ouch! Can’t blame his new shoes on this though because he had on some old ones. Poor, poor buddy! And, once again, he was quite dramatic about the whole thing…

He’s now all bandaged up and will hopefully stay scrape free for the next week! Goodness gracious.
Hope you all had a good and injury-free weekend!
This boy makes me smile…

with his big ole brown eyes…

and sweet disposition.

And he’s such a good big brother. He loves his ya-ya!

Doesn’t Spencer look excited to be getting all the love?

Spencer may not be so sure about those kisses, but I’m pretty sure I have the best boys in the world.

Have a great weekend!!
We had a great weekend and, on Saturday, got Maxwell all signed up to play Sunday Soccer! It’s the Birmingham United Soccer Association and they have an “Under 4” division where they practice and then play on 5 different Sundays in the fall. 30 minutes of practice, 30 minutes of a little 4 on 4 game. I can’t wait to go watch…pretty sure it’s going to be hilarious!
You have to get a ball, some shinguards, dark colored shorts and cleats (optional). We stopped by Mountain Brook Sports after signing him up and got a size 3 soccer ball – gotta start practicing at home! We asked Maxwell if he wanted to play soccer and he didn’t even know what it was! ha! Nothing a few youtube videos and a little play in the backyard can’t fix!

Robert even signed up to be a coach. I think that will make it even more fun for Maxwell!

This one will be out there with his big brother soon enough…

He’s already pretty fast just on hands and knees!

(love that sunshine!)
I’ll be very interested to see how Maxwell does. He definitely has natural athletic ability…we’ll just have to wait and see how he acts in an organized game with other kids. Either way, we’re going to make it fun!

Goal!!
A few things of interest around here this week…
Spencer is getting a top tooth! One of his front teeth is breaking through and he’s handled it like a champ. I was totally surprised considering Maxwell didn’t get any teeth at all until 1 and Spencer is going to have bottom and top teeth by 10 months!
Spencer looooves watermelon. He’s been eating it up all by himself at dinner the past few nights. Wishing big brother would follow his lead!
We’re ready for the weekend and think it’s gonna be SUPER!

Up, up, and away!

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Superboy!

and Superbaby too!

Wishing you all a SUPER weekend from Super Susan, Superboy and Superbaby…

and from Supermom too! 😉

See you next week!
