Spencer is getting really good at pulling all the way up to standing now. The past 3 mornings when I’ve gone into his room he’s been standing up in his crib! Go Spencey!

I had the chance to go to the lake for a night last weekend with some girls. It was a beautiful weekend and I really enjoyed a little 24 hour escape sans kids.
Robert VERY nicely held down the fort with both boys. Regardless of the look on their faces here…
They actually had a lot of fun!
Despite no afternoon nap and a few middle of the night wake-ups from this guy…
I think everything was smooth sailing. Robert even gave them a nutritious dinner from Krystal. ummm….yea. I think I’m glad I was only gone 1 night! 🙂

Maxwell loves to “hug” on Spencer. Lately he’s been saying he needs to “borrow” Spencer when me or Robert are holding him, meaning he wants to take him from us to hold him!
Spencer isn’t always cooperative and doesn’t always like to be “borrowed!”
Which usually ends up in Maxwell saying “get him! get him, Momma!”
Spencer just doesn’t want to be held down. He’s got too many things to explore – things which usually “belong” to Maxwell.
Maxwell has no problem using any means necessary to keep Spencer away from his stuff!

I feel like it should have been Friday 3 days ago! We’ve been fighting some summer colds around here and even some fever with Maxwell. All of that has added up to plenty of couch time and not a lot of sleep at night.
Glad it’s finally the weekend!
