We got back into town from NY on Sunday late afternoon and had to do the most important thing! Get a tree! Just like the past few years, they had virtually no 10 foot trees left. We actually got the very last white tag one on the lot. Was it the best tree? Nope! But it was the biggest!
We got it home and got it up. I started putting the lights on Monday night but didn’t have enough. Oh no! Got some more lights on Tuesday and got it fully lit up! Notice my crackerjack helpers…ha!
Wednesday night I was ready to get the ornaments on and went to turn on the lights and …nothing came on. After much research, I discovered the bottom string of lights had gone bad. I took that string off, replaced it, and then everything worked again. Hooray! Lights working, ornaments up, ho ho ho!
Also, she’s a leaner! Someone get this tree a V8!
The fun didn’t end though. About an hour after we got it finished, the bottom lights all went out again. What?!
It was a brand new string so I knew something else had to be going on. At GJ’s suggestion, we changed the fuse on that string of lights and, voila! Fully lit again! I now have that string plugged in to a separate outlet!
We’re glad to have it up and running! Oh, Christmas Tree!

Kids will be happy with any tree! Try to think about the good aspects that it has . It is the thought and effort that matters!
Dad says
Nice work Momma! Needless to say you get all the credit for this.
