The one thing about the weekend? It’s always too short. We tried to take advantage of it all though.
Friday was going good because Maxwell got a cookie at lunch. I think every weekend should start and end with a cookie!
That afternoon he got really excited about something on the tv.
Perhaps it was his new favorite – Grover. or Babba as he calls him. I think that’s because Grover 2.0 always says, “Habba what?!” and Maxwell just re-interpreted as he does…
Friday also started the weekend off right because we had the carpenters here getting our new deck rails up! We’ve had this open deck and finally decided that we really need some rails for safety sake. Maxwell’s already broken one leg for goodness sake! Here’s the rail so far…
Off to a good start! ps – see that plant beside it? that’s one of my now GIANT tomato plants! can’t wait to get some ripe tomatoes off of it!
A funny story about the deck rails. I had gone onto Pinterest to find some pictures of rails that I liked to show our carpenter. I just did a general search for “deck rails” in the main page of Pinterest and found a few pictures, one of which was this…
I loved the rails and the setup is very similar to what we’re doing so it was the perfect picture to give to my carpenter. Well, Robert and I were driving down the road yesterday – our street that we’ve been on a million times – and both noticed a house on the right that had rails VERY similar to the picture I had found. Here’s the pic we snapped with the phone…
I came home, followed the link on Pinterest and, sure enough! It’s the same house!! Can you believe that the random picture I would find on Pinterest would end up being of a house that isn’t even 2 blocks away from me? Crazy coincidence!
Anyway, after a good Friday, Saturday started off fun with swim lessons! Robert took Maxwell instead of me – trying to do what we can to break his “momma, momma, momma” phase! Too bad it was pretty overcast and a little chilly that morning…especially when you got out of the pool!
Despite his miserable appearance, I do think he had a good time!
After the lesson, I had him in the car with me to go pick up some lunch and…well…I guess all the swimming just wore him out because about 2 minutes into our car ride, he looked like this…
Hilarious!
That night, Maxwell was feeling extra cool so he decided to wear his shades for dinner…
He ate every last bite of that quesadilla too so he might be wearing his shades for every meal from now on!
Sunday morning Maxwell accessorized himself for church…
Spare hat in hand and all! and don’t worry, all hats ended up staying home after a little convincing.
Things were going well until Maxwell woke up from his nap with a little fever. hmmm…hope we’re not getting sick again! I also hope Maxwell didn’t curse us with bad luck by doing this…
Fingers crossed he stays healthy and no bad luck comes our way! 🙂
A great weekend overall! See you tomorrow!
Here’s wishing all good health and good luck!
Busy weekend! Fun! Hope Maxwell doesn’t get sick.
Great post Momma…momma….momma…momma…momma….momma……momma….momma…momma.
You’re so funny!
Stumbled across your blog, and I have to say- it is ADORABLE. SO glad I found it, thanks for sharing! Seriously, the pictures of Maxwell watching tv… hilarious.
Thanks Abigail! and welcome! 🙂
