Weekend recap

August 19, 2013

First, Happy Birthday Jen! Hope it’s a GREAT one!

Second, hope you all had a good weekend. Ours was nice with fantastic temps in the 70s on Saturday! We had tons of rain on Sunday which is no fun but I’ll take that over the heat. Our weekend went a little something like this…

Spencer looked cute…

and then got to wear shoes for the first time! I used to put shoes on Maxwell all the time when he was a baby but I’ve literally never put them on Spencer’s feet until Friday. But, I think I want him to wear shoes to school so he needs to get used to them!

He wasn’t quite sure about them at first but then got used to them. I think his little fat legs look so cute in them! πŸ™‚

Speaking of shoes, Maxwell got some new shoes for school! Zappos delivered 3 new pair on Friday…

Maxwell loved them all and kept running circles in the house saying “these make me fast!”

Unfortunately, his new shoes didn’t keep him from falling Saturday morning while helping Dad in the yard. He bit it on the concrete and we had to patch up a scraped leg and elbow with some band-aids. It wasn’t all that bad though but he was a *bit* dramatic about it! Skinned elbow = traumatic I guess! By that afternoon he had fortunately made a full recovery and we took a field trip to Bass Pro. Robert needed to get something and it’s always a fun place for Maxwell to explore…

That night we grabbed some pizza and Spencer got to sit in this retro high chair…funny.

Sunday morning things were looking good and we headed to church…

And then, when leaving church, Maxwell once again bit it on the concrete and ended up with knees that looked like this…

Ouch! Can’t blame his new shoes on this though because he had on some old ones. Poor, poor buddy! And, once again, he was quite dramatic about the whole thing…

He’s now all bandaged up and will hopefully stay scrape free for the next week! Goodness gracious.

Hope you all had a good and injury-free weekend!

Would love to hear from you! 4 Comments

Ouch! Skinned knees do hurt! Spencer is too cute in his shoes! Really to see these two in a couple of days!

    Happy birthday Jen!

Get better Maxwell, I know how it feels. At least you didn’t have too far to fall!

    Maxwell,

Doctors make you feel better, you could be a doctor and make a lot of people feel better.

    :-). Thank you!

Poor Maxwell! Nothing lots of band-aids, kisses, and cookies can’t fix. Be sure to show every person you see your ouchie. That also seems to help! That and the good juice! Hope you are as good as new tomorrow.
