Samantha is TWO!!!
From this precious baby girl (born on her due date at 1:04pm)…
To this happy one year old….
To this perfectly perfect two year old….
Oh my goodness, she’s TWO! She’s two and she’s just too, too much…of everything! She’s too cute, too sweet, too spunky, too good to be true (almost!)
This girl has personality! She can be as sweet as pie and charm those around her but can also be a total stinker! She earns her nickname of Tootie by being a little toot sometimes!
She has strong opinions and isn’t afraid to let them be known…usually by yelling “NOOOO” at the top of her lungs or stomping her foot! But, I’m so glad she’s strong-willed. I wouldn’t want my little girl to be any other way! She’s tough as nails and can totally hang with her brothers but then she’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever seen loving on her baby dolls and waving at strangers saying “Heeeeey!”
She’s talking up a storm. She can sing her ABCs, count to 10 (thought 6 is sometimes skipped!), and knows tons of animals, sounds, and objects. I never have any doubt about what she wants or what she’s saying though a few things I have to translate like “might” for “mine”. She also likes to tell me when she pooped – and then will hilariously say “goodness! major poop!” which is clearly something she learned from me! ha! She even says “bess you” when someone sneezes. π My favorite though is when one of the boys is crying, she’ll turn to me and say with such concern “Brudder? happened?” as in “what happened to brother?” Speaking of, she looooooves her brothers. Loves them. Every night before bed she has to give them each multiple hugs and kisses. Is she just stalling before bed? Perhaps. But, it’s still really sweet. They love her even more than she loves them I think.
Here you can see her mouthful of awesomely chipped and gapped teeth! π
She’s a fantastic eater. She eats way more things than her brothers do. She’s really been good about trying and liking most everything I’ve given her. She’s not great with meat or some veggies but gobbles up all kinds of fruit, rice, pasta, etc. It makes my day to see her eating what I cook! A true miracle! She’s a great sleeper too. Down around 7:30 pm with just a little rocking and plays happily in her bed until we get her around 7am. She still naps every day from around 1:00 to 4:00.
I love her so much. So very much. She is honestly a dream come true and she just keeps getting better. Our lives have been infinitely enriched these past two years by this little ray of sunshine. I cannot imagine how we would have lived without her.
Oh, sweet Samantha. (which we rarely call her by the way. I almost always call her Baby or Tootie and the boys call her Goo Goo!)
Our very favorite two year old. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead! We love you more than we even thought possible.
Happy Birthday sweet girl!!!!!
