When we weren’t cheering on the Tide this past weekend, we were playing soccer! Maxwell had a soccer game Friday night and Saturday morning and Spencer had one Sunday afternoon!
Maxwell’s team has really gotten good and it’s fun to watch them play…though these two might disagree!
ha! They’re actually pretty good cheerleaders…until the goldfish run out! I love watching the game though and am probably (embarrassingly) the loudest cheerleader on the sidelines!
Maxwell was hustling so hard on Friday night and going after every ball that he seemed to spend as much time on his bottom as his feet!
It was some soccer festival so they had a bounce house set up which kept the other two happy – well until one of the two got “lost” and Robert heard over the loud speaker “will the parents of Samantha, a little girl in a grey dress with black hearts please come to the check-in table!” Goodness gracious. I am proud she was able to tell them her name though!
We were back out there by 8:00am Saturday morning. It was picture day too!
Maxwell had another great game!
Luckily our field was right in front of the bounce houses that morning so the other two could play happily without getting “lost.” By the end I think the two in the bounce house were sweatier than the one that had played the soccer game!
On Sunday afternoon we hit up the fields again for Spencer’s game. Spencer played really great. The other team had a ringer who was kind of taking all of the fun out of it for everyone but, when that kid finally sat out, Spencer took advantage and scored two goals!
He also enjoyed some blue gatorade! ha!
A weekend full of soccer fun! Go Diamondbacks and go Tornadoes!
A fun active week-end for all!
Busy weekend for sure!
It is so good to see them playing so hard and being enthusiastic about competing, it will help them in the future.
