Is it over yet?

Is it over yet? That’s how I feel about this week. I know I said I was feeling better on Wednesday. Well, I was, for about 4 hours, but since then I’ve just still been so sick. I can’t shake this bug. I actually ended up at the doctor yesterday and got an IV bag of fluids. He also gave me an antibiotic thinking I might have a bacterial infection on top of the virus. double ugh.

So, there’s nothing fun on the blog today. It will do no good discussing anything that has gone on this week….

*Friday morning update so you all don’t think I’m dying – after the fluids yesterday and a few other things, I’m feeling MUCH better this morning. I think I’m on the way back up!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

It’s the day of love! and candy and treats! 🙂 This year, I signed up to take the treats for Maxwell’s class on Valentine’s Day. I had grand plans of making awesome homemade iced sugar cookies with M&Ms but then I got hit with the plague so heart shaped cookies from Savage’s had to do! I don’t think the 2 year olds minded much!

I did make these cute little party favors with Little People Wheelies for all the kiddos in his class…

The four boys got the jeep and the two girls got the little pink car with hearts on it! perfect!

For Maxwell’s individual Valentine cards this year, we used Teddy Grahams…a personal fave of his right now!

He couldn’t wait to give the Teddy Grahams to his friends at school!

He was ready for the party yesterday in the special LOVE shirt just like he wore last year!

Yea, maybe it was a little overboard with the red shirt, pants AND shoes but…hey…Valentine’s Day only comes once a year, right?! 🙂

Happy after school with all of his Valentine goodies!

That afternoon he made sure Spencer was ready for Valentine’s Day too! 🙂

I’m hoping to rejoin the land of the living today. Wish me luck! Now, on with better pictures!

Last week before the sickness hit we had a beautiful spring-like day so we took full advantage and played outside all afternoon.

We even invited a few friends over! Such a fun time with John Tanner, Walker and Jack!

Sick day

Ya’ll, I’m so sick. I literally didn’t get out of bed all day yesterday. I honestly don’t know how Maxwell survived this. Thank goodness for Susan who came and took the boys all day. She is nothing short of a lifesaver.

So, sorry – it’s a sick day on the blog.

An unwelcome visitor

Maxwell had a little visit from the stomach bug and it has been miserable. What I thought was just a fever virus on Thursday morning turned into a full blown stomach virus by that night. Maxwell was so, so sick and didn’t get back to normal until Sunday morning. He definitely lost a few pounds and looks like skin and bones right now. Poor guy. Get that boy all the cookies he wants! We’re now just hoping the rest of us don’t get it… Ugh.

I am not one that gets stomach sick often and, honestly, having my kid get the stomach flu has been a big fear of mine. But, we made it through and, while miserable, we’re all alive…barely!

A big thank you to Susan for all of her help on Thursday and Friday!

Needless to say, we’ve watched a LOT of Toy Story 1 and 2 and Cars the past few days! There’s also been quite a bit of ipad playing..
