I already showed you my favorites from the 5 month photos but had to share these too…could she be any more bored with my photo taking?
She’s thinking, “really Momma?”
Bored.
Bored bored bored.
Then it was like she gave me a half-hearted little smile just to get me to stop! ha!
Oh I love her little face. Bored or not!
Samantha had her 4 month check-up on Monday….at 5 months old! We got off schedule but we’ll be back on track for her 6 month checkup. It was a good visit – Dr. Walley said she looks great! Her herniated belly button is healing itself on its own and she’s just a happy, healthy baby!
She’s 15 lbs, 11 oz (75th to 95th%). Height is 25 1/2 inches (75th %) and head circumference is 16 (50th to 75th %). She’s not leading the pack in noggins like her brothers always did! Although hard to compare since she’s 5 months old, you’ll see below that she’s really similar in size to Maxwell. Spencer has – and I think will always be! – my bigger baby! 🙂
Maxwell at 4 months – 15 lbs, 26 inches long
Spencer at 4 months – 16 lbs, 11 oz, 26.5 inches long
Maxwell at 6 months – 15 lbs, 13 oz, 26.5 inches tall.
Spencer at 6 months – 18 lbs, 3 oz, and 27.5 inches long
The appointment was at 9:30 – smack dab in the middle of her morning nap time! As a result, she wasn’t the happiest camper when Nurse Shelly tried to weigh her! or when I tried to put her down on the table!
But, she got happy thanks to a paci and did great for Dr. Walley.
Now, when those shots got stuck in her leg? Not so happy. But, she then fell asleep and when we got home, I tucked her in for a nice, 3 hour nap!
So thankful for good doctor reports!
Samantha is 5 months old! Now that she’s got a little hair, we thought it was time to accessorize the monthly photo outfit! 🙂
I don’t really know who she looks like now. She definitely doesn’t look like Spencer. But she doesn’t necessarily look like Maxwell either. She just looks like the sweetest, cutest baby girl in all the land! 🙂
She’s chewing on her fingers – and everything else! – a lot these days. She’s had a few fussy naps the past few days and I’m wondering if there’s a tooth coming in.
She’s just a happy baby. She’ll cry but that’s just because she wants to be picked up and loved on! She’s getting chubbier and more squeezable every day and I could literally eat her up. I nibble on her cheeks all the time!!
She’s the luckiest little girl too because she’s got two big brothers that love her like crazy. Maxwell is super sweet with her and can’t wait to get his hands on her every day. Both boys always have to give her a little kiss before nap or bedtime and they just think she’s the greatest thing in the world. They call her Baby Mantha about 95% of the time…and now Robert and I do too!
She’s starting to talk more and more and makes the funniest shrieking noises like a Pterodactyl! She still spends most of her time just wide-eyed watching her brothers run around her though! There’s always a lot of action in the house and she just takes it all in!
She takes a morning nap from 9:00 to around 11:00 and then an afternoon nap from around 1:30 to 3:30. Sometimes she’ll still need a 3rd little 30 minute nap around 5:30. I’m still swaddling her for naps but am planning to get rid of that any day. She gets a bath every night at about 6:15 which she LOVES. She can kick kick kick those legs! Then she gets kisses from her brothers before going to sleep! I put her in her crib awake at night and she’ll fuss and talk in there for a little while but then drift off to sleep. She still gets up once in the night to eat – anywhere from 1:00 to 4:00 am – but then goes right back to sleep until around 6:30 or 7:00. As much as I’m tired of getting up with her in the night, I do like that she’ll sleep until 6:30. I’m afraid when she drops the middle of the night feeding that she’ll then be up for the day at 5:00 am!
She eats 4 times during the day and then the one time at night. Can’t wait for her to start trying some baby food soon! We’ll get those cheeks even chubbier! 🙂
She’s finally learned to roll over! When I went to get her up yesterday morning, she was on her belly. She rolled over during the night. Go baby Mantha! Once thing’s for sure, she definitely loves playing with her toes!

I still cannot believe that I had a baby girl and that she’s this perfect. I mean…look at this face!
It just doesn’t get any better than her.
