Have a great weekend!
Like last year and the year before that, we did two weeks of swim lessons every day with Coach Laura. The first day Baby wasn’t quite so sure…

and there were lots of tears each time it was her turn. But she also figured out that getting to play on “the beach” in between turns was pretty fun!

Second day, still skeptical…

and still lots of tears during her turn.
Third day she was starting to doubt…

but then thought about it…

and decided swimming was really fun and there were NO MORE TEARS from that point forward! hooray!

Going every day for two weeks is a haul but it’s worth it – and lots of fun when you get to do it with some buddies!

Baby is a jumping, kicking, and almost-but-not-quite-swimming by herself machine. Spencer did fantastic as well and improved every day. Maxwell continued to be a great swimmer and was doing breast stroke by the end!

Also, kids in goggles are funny…

A great kick off to summer and we can’t wait to spend more time in the pool!
In the last week of school Maxwell had field day…and he had a blast! Each class is given a different color to wear and all the kindergarten classes compete against each other in a variety of field games. Maxwell’s class was red and he went head to toe RED! His friend, Gabriel, came over before school so I could even spray their hair red!

It was a HOT day on that field but that didn’t seem to bother the kids. They jumped in potato sacks, threw footballs, shot slingshots, raced through an obstacle course, and tossed a giant fish!

Then there was the big 4 way tug-o-war!

And when you’re that hot and sweaty, there’s not much better than a giant popsicle to cool off!

What a sweet bunch of kindergarteners!

Thankful for a fun year with Mrs. McCandless!

Go Red team!
Over the long weekend we had some of our favorite friends visit from Atlanta! The kids couldn’t wait for Patrick, Liz, Henry and Evelyn to arrive!

They all played so well together. We showed them our little hood…

The boys had an epic Nerf gun war while Samantha learned how to do the proper princess twirl…

There was pizza…

popsicles…

and a fun night out for the grownups!

We always love when we get to hang with the Woods!

Cheers to a fun weekend!
Happy Memorial day from my red, white, blue, and rainbow crew!
