Just the 3 of us

November 30, 2017

While Maxwell was off at a birthday party one Saturday, I had the Bobbsey Twins with me and it was a pretty day so we hit up the park…

and then, because I’m the best momma ever, I took them for ice cream!

and Superman for Samantha.

Such a lady.

And you know what happens when you skip your nap because of your brother’s basketball game and then wear yourself out at the park and then come down from your ice cream sugar high? This happens…

All tuckered out from the fun! Love my two littles!

All he wants for Christmas…

November 29, 2017

Is his bottom front tooth!!

tooth

When I saw Maxwell after school last Monday, he gave me a big ole grin and that tooth was gone! I knew it was loose but I didn’t think it was that loose!! He said he was eating his lunch and could feel it moving more so he went to the bathroom, gave it a few good wiggles, and then pulled it out all by himself! whoa!!!

tooth

I’m excited for him and thankful I didn’t have to pull it!! The tooth fairy came that night and generously left $5! Must be a “first tooth special”! πŸ˜‰

The original Maxwell

November 28, 2017

We got some sad news yesterday that Granddaddy passed away. He was 93 and lived a long, happy, and golf-filled life. I’m so grateful for all the years I had with him and even more grateful that all of my kids got to meet him. I can’t wait to celebrate his life with the rest of the family this week.

We traveled to Arkansas to see him just this past summer…

Through the years I’ve gotten lots of good pictures of the three Maxwells!!

Christmas was always a special time with my grandparents. When we were little they would come to town and take me and my brother and to eat at Franke’s and sit on Santa’s lap at the mall! Seems fitting that my brother and parents got to eat at Franke’s with Granddaddy just last week.

We sure will miss him – and his Christmas socks! – this year…

We love you, Granddaddy.
