Weekend fun

We had a great weekend around home. Friday night we had dinner at Otey’s where Samantha owned the stage! ha! Don’t know where she learned those moves?!

Saturday morning we found a new pet in the yard – a caterpillar named Calvin – and bought him a new home.

We then had the best lunch visitors ever! Keath, Jen, Nate, and Delaney stopped by on their way to Wisconsin. We loved having them here for lunch and getting to show them GJ and Daddo’s new house – from the outside at least. Cutest cousins ever!

Saturday night Robert and I left the kids with a sitter and went to dinner with some friends. When we got home, I couldn’t resist a peek at my sleeping angels…

Last week

I was gone Tuesday through Thursday of last week for work and Robert and Susan held down the fort with no problems at all! Spencer and Samantha went to Apple and had fun…

and then got to have Friday play day with Mrs. Susan!

Maxwell had Samford basketball camp all week and loved it!

He had his BFF, Jack, on his team and their team won their division championship!! Woohoo!

I sure did miss them all but I think they were all having too much fun to miss me!

Last Day

Maxwell finally had his last day of school last Thursday!

Didn’t change that much from the first day yet also changed a ton…and lost 3 teeth!

He had a great year. He got straight +s on his report card and nothing but absolutely GLOWING reports from his teacher. I’m not sure anything in first grade was super challenging to him so hoping we can up the game a bit in second grade. His BFFs are Andrew and Jack and he’d much rather be playing sports all day than sitting in class! ha!

Field Day

Field day is, for sure, one of the best parts of school! Like last year, Maxwell got decked out in his class color. We even had all the boys in his class over to our house in the morning before school so they could all get their hair sprayed and face painted together!
