As I mentioned in this post, Samantha’s dance recital was cancelled but luckily they had taken photos before the quarantine hit. We got them back last week and she’s precious, of course!

Love my little dancer!!

This kid amazes me. Maxwell made this wolf up at school this year for a project. He did it 3d from profile. So cool.

So then he was bored one day so found some cardboard and paint and made this eagle.

And the next day he made this monkey, complete with a banana!

Amazing!!! He really is so talented in so many ways.
We finally got all of the class photos in from school!

Going for a car ride!

Hot and sweaty after playing outside all day…

Perhaps not my best attempt at a quarantine sideburn trim! Oops!

Cheering on the 6th grade MBE graduates during the parade!

Staying busy and making the most of it!
Another day, another hike! A week or so ago we took a drive out to the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve in Pinson for a hike.

It was a pretty and fairly uphill hike but everyone did pretty good. There might have been a little more whining than usual but it’s also getting hotter here so I get it.

The payoff of that uphill climb were these awesome waterfalls! So cool!

The cutest hikers!

After hanging out by the cool water for a bit and having a snack, we made our way back. There were a lot of tears, complaining, and generally bad attitudes. Not our finest moment.

But, when they’re tired and don’t want to keep walking, they’re learning that the best way out is through. Ain’t that the truth! Getting good homeschool life lessons every day!!

Love my adventurous crew.
