That’s something to swing about!
Hump day
That’s something to swing about!
Capturing our adventures one photo at a time...
That’s something to swing about!
We maybe be back in school but the pool is still open! We had one last afternoon pool hurrah with a bunch of our friends on the day before school started. Even though they felt like this about the end of summer…

we were still all smiles to be at the pool!

Nothing better than fun with friends!

Silly girls!
Days 1 and 2 are under our belt! Everyone came home from Day 1 with big smiles…

and smiled even bigger when they saw the special treat I had gotten them! I figured everyone deserved a little “happy” after the first day back to school, right?

Day 2 and this girl was ready to get to Kindergarten!!

She gets out at 2:00 all through this week and was nothing but smiles when she got home…

Friday night we all went out to dinner to celebrate two days of school complete…

Unfortunately, Maxwell got a migraine and he and I ended up leaving dinner early to take him home. And his teacher was out on Day 2 and will be out for the next 14 days quarantining due to a potential Covid exposure. Ah well…you can’t win them all so I’ll take the highs mixed with the lows and make the best of it!
We’re back in school! I don’t know how long it will last but we made it through the first day and had smiles all around!

Can’t you see those smiling eyes?! Here, try this…

Much better!
Off to conquer 4th grade…

2nd grade…

and Kindergarten!

They had teacher gifts (hand sanitizer and a mask lanyard)…

cool new backpacks…

and new school shoes of course! They gave final hugs…

and then off they went.

I can’t think too hard about what all is happening – the pandemic, my baby going to Kindergarten, them having to wear masks all day – so I’m just trying to let it happen and take each day as it comes. I’m choosing to stay optimistic that this is going to be a fantastic school year for my 3 favorite people!

Let’s do this!
If you have to wear a mask, you might as well make it match!

With huge thanks to GJ, Samantha will be the most color coordinated mask wearer in Kindergarten! She has a whole rainbow of masks with matching ribbon lanyards…

GJ sewed all of these masks and coordinated the ribbon to make this one happy masked little girl…and one happy momma too!

This little girl is coordinated and Kindergarten ready! GJ is the very best!!
