Happy Monday everyone. Today is a good day because Maxwell did something fantastic yesterday. He finally decided to pick up the puffs and yogurt melts that I’ve been putting in front of him for weeks and put them in his own mouth! Not only that, but he also figured out how to chew them (even without teeth) and get them down without gagging. woohoo! I know this probably doesn’t sound like a big deal to you…but it’s a big deal to me! It was literally like something just clicked in his head and he started picking up the food, putting it in his own mouth, chewing it and swallowing it. After he had done it a few times I even gave him whole puffs and yogurt melts (I had been breaking them up into smaller pieces) and he ate them all with no problems. Bring on the finger foods!!
In other feeding news, Maxwell has become a straw master. He can drink out of any straw now and loves his straw sippy cups…
He loves to just play with the straw too…
He’s a good sipper!
So, now that I’ve got a self-feeder…tell me what your favorite finger foods are for little ones! I need ideas!

That is one cute little boy! Way to go Maxwell there’s no stopping you now!
Jen says
What a big boy! Soon he’ll be using a spoon!
Dad says
Nice work Maxwell, can you mow the lawn yet?
