It’s already Tuesday! Hooray! We stuck around here for the long weekend and it was really nice not to have any plans. Even though we got some rain and still have major muggy weather, we did enjoy the outside…
On Saturday we ventured out to the mall because the boys had a gift certificate to Build A Bear that they got from Keath, Jen, Nate and Delaney for their birthdays. They were pretty excited to make a friend for the first time! Maxwell went with a tiger (obviously) and Spencey picked a dinosaur.
It was pretty fun and they sure were proud to walk out with their new friends in their houses! 🙂 Maxwell’s tiger also has a fireman outfit and Spencer’s has a police man outfit.
We then had lunch at the food court (so 1990’s of us) and then I got suckered into taking them on the carousel. Spencer was really excited to ride the elephant but someone else beat us to it so he spent almost his whole carousel ride whining “I want da eyaphant!” Being 2 is hard.
I think the excitement of the mall was just about too much for Samantha to handle because she suuuuure was fussy that afternoon! She got to get an early bath…chubby in the tubby! 🙂
And then also got an early bedtime. The boys soon followed and then Robert and I stayed up too late watching the Alabama game! Roll Tide!
On Sunday evening we went to dinner in Uptown to try something different. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t good…but the company sure was!
On Monday, Maxwell and Robert headed to the field to get some soccer practice in. Games start next weekend and Maxwell needed to break in his new fancy tiger-colored cleats!
I spent my Labor Day laboring away in the kitchen! I made tons of muffins to stock the freezer for school lunches and a few crock-pot meals from this site. It will be nice to have easy meals ready to throw in the crock pot….we’ll see if I can keep this up.
So, that was our nice, no plans, pretty boring, long weekend. I sure did enjoy it!
My kind of week-end! Hurray for 3 day week-ends!
