I love being a mom and I love my little buddy. But, let’s face it, motherhood can have some highs and some lows. Yesterday had both extremes:
Low – I had to travel for work on Wednesday and I left before Maxwell was up and got home after he was asleep. Needless to say, I was super excited to go get him out of his bed yesterday morning. Maxwell was kind enough to greet me with a bed full of vomit. I’ll spare you the details but let’s just say that both the bathtub and the washing machine were in use before 7:00am! I think, yet again, he just got choked on some congestion and his sensitive gag reflex reacted…all over his crib. Ugh.
High – Maxwell wasn’t sick and was totally fine all morning so I sent him to school and he had a GREAT day. He even got an adorable school picture taken which I’ll share later. After a fantastic nap he was just as happy as he could be. He was belly laughing and pushing his lawn mower around and around and around the house. We played a rousing game of peekaboo which really got him giggling. He was giving hugs and kisses left and right. At one point last night I remarked to Robert, “I think this is the cutest he’s ever been.” Definite high.
I sure do love him…even if he is a puker.
In other news, Maxwell now has a hat that fits him. He actually now has several. Thank you Old Navy!
I think this little red one is too cute. Yes, it’s a little big right now but I’m sure his big ole noggin will fill it out in no time!
Big brown eyes…
And I know what you all are thinking about the hat and I only have one thing to say….
“Be vewy vewy quiet, I’m hunting wabbits!”
I hope all you wascally wabbits have a great weekend!
