Well, I just don’t think I could have asked for Halloween to have gone any better! We had so much fun and my little firetruck and football player loved it! We barely made it up from naps in time to get over to the parade at 4:00 but we made it. This picture cracks me up because we were all a little frazzled trying to get there and Maxwell tried to squeeze into the stroller with his firetruck on and, well, it was just funny…
Robert met us at the parade and it was great. The boys loved seeing all the floats, dancers, cheerleaders and, of course, the fire truck at the end!
Please look at Spencey’s face in that first picture – I hate that it got cut off but he was so excited! ha!
and my football player even got a football!
High five for that!
The parade ended about 4:30 and the group we were with just decided to start trick-or-treating to get it in before the rain. Luckily lots of others had the same idea so there were plenty of people all ready to hand out some candy! Maxwell definitely got the hang of it quickly and got really good at saying “twick ah tweat!”…
but he still wanted me to go up to most houses with him. Fine by me! 🙂
Spencey just had to check it all out from the stroller…
but then when we stopped by our friend’s house, he got to get out and explore a bit!
Just as we were turning onto the street to head back home, sprinkles started to fall. We didn’t mind though as we had already done a lot of trick-or-treating and seen plenty of good friends!
We got home just in time to eat some dinner and watch It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! yay! Maxwell loved getting to root through his loot…
and discover the joys of Reese’s peanut butter cups! I asked him that night what his favorite part of Halloween was and his reply? the chocolate. Kid after my own heart! 🙂
What a fun, fun Halloween!
Have a great weekend!

So glad the rain held off – would have been a shame not to have had the parade and a little trick or treating! Cute little trick or treaters!

We had a big Halloween with over a hundred stopping by for a treat. Katie and Anna came by, too. I had to sample some of the candy to make sure it was ok and I liked the chocolate, and peanuts. It was fun to see all the costumes.
