Last weekend Robert and I played in a golf tournament. No, really! We did! It was a completely for fun, beginners welcome, drinking encouraged 9 hole scramble! Some of our friends put it together after they got kicked out of the serious golf tournament and decided we all needed a fun afternoon on the golf course. Pretty much all the ladies had to actually go buy collar shirts!
There were a lot of whiffs (they didn’t count) but some decent shots too. I have to say, it was the most fun I’ve had in a long time!
Our partners were Kirk and Tate and Kirk’s golf experience was just about as extensive as mine – zippo. But, hey, we did not come in last!! We might have come in next to last but…not last! I think we were 5 over par? Not bad!
Team Marshall/Clark took home the giant trophy and bragging rights for winning the first SMI. Here’s to making this an annual event!
Yay for Golf!
You are a Patterson so I bet you will be a good golfer! Grandmother and granddaddy loved doing couple events. Hope you and Robert will enjoy doing the same!
Look out, we’re gunning for that cup next year!
