Like last spring, Spencer did Flyers basketball. Also like last year, he was put on the B team. I cannot say I agree with this decision but, like always, Spencer made the best of the situation and got a ton of playing time, leadership development, and skills training! He set a goal to improve his ball handling during the season and he definitely did that! Go 29!
I had some issues with the program – mainly the fact that both the A and B teams had the same coach. That wouldn’t be a problem except they played in all the same tournaments to the coach often had to choose which team he was going to coach. That was especially not fun when the teams had to play against each other!
Spencer did get to play up with the “A” team in one tournament and he showed up and showed out! I think he hit three 3 pointers in one game! They ended up coming in 2nd place in that tournament and earned a little bling!
The most important thing is that Spencer had fun and got better at basketball, something he loves.
I just love watching him play!
Love how hard he hustles! Love watching him play!
Great job Spencer ! You’re meant to play basketball !!
Nothing more fun that to watch Spence and his brother and sister compete; they always try their best! No doubt Spence has improved since he started rec in October. He’s had lots of basketball practice since then and it’s paying off!
