On June 26, at 31 weeks, Robert and I had the opportunity to do one of those 3D ultrasounds. They actually call it 4D but that seems silly to me so we’ll stick with 3D. Luckily, BBB decided to be super cooperative (which I’m hoping is an indication of how he’ll be as a newborn!) and turned his little head and body at just the right angles for some great pictures!
Warning – some of you might find these pictures a little “freaky”…but I guess that’s appropriate for Friday the 13th, right! 🙂
When his image first appeared on the screen all I could say was “Oh my goodness, Robert! It’s your mini-me!” His little button nose, full lips and round cheeks are undeniably Robert! See?
BBB then proceeded to have fun with us and open one eye….
and open his mouth…I think he was trying to say “Hi Mom!”…
and then he got feisty and stuck his tongue out at us!
He thought he was real funny and smiled at us.
And, good news! He’s at least got one of these…

Phew!
It really was incredible to see these and know what this little guy looks like (sorta) already. We are SO ready to meet him and squeeze on those round cheeks!!
I hope everyone has a great weekend! I think I’m going to lay around and try to stay out of the heat! and maybe eat some good Mexican food too! 🙂
Yay! I never understood why they called them 4D either. 3D makes more sense. Are you so unbelievably ready??
I’m ready…but I also still want him to hold out for 2.5 more weeks! If it just wasn’t quite so hot here!!
It will be fun to see this little fellow in person and compare the pictures to him in person. Wonder how much hair and what color it will be????

🙂 Thanks for letting us see the much anticipated BBB in his b.b.b. (beautiful before birth!) photoshoot. Handsome fellow already! May be a Brown redhead ready to take the world by storm. Guess we’ll see if he’ll let me add him to my long list of family September birthdays. In addition to the Patterson dates, my mom is the 4th, Maia the 7th and born on Labor Day, and Jana the 24th. What are the odds?! Try the Music Man’s “think system” about the weather: “cool temps”. Can’t hurt!
