Easter!

April 25, 2011

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.  We headed down to Montgomery on Saturday and had a great weekend with Robert’s side of the family.  The fun started on Saturday afternoon with an annual egg hunt hosted by the Inscoes.  The sun was shining and it was a beautiful – and HOT – day!  It felt even hotter carrying around an 18lb space heater on my hip!  But, he looked so cute in his smocked sheep outfit and white sandals that I didn’t mind one bit.

This was actually Maxwell’s second time at the egg hunt.  He was there last year in my belly…

And he was there this year in my arms!

Maxwell wasn’t lacking for attention at the hunt.  He was squeezed, pinched, and head-rubbed all day!

I can’t blame anyone though because he did look awfully cute…

While Maxwell had fun, he wasn’t quite so sure about the heat…

And he wasn’t quite so sure about Uncle Ronnie either!

Don’t worry, they were best buds a minute later!

It was a fun day for Robert to get to see some old friends…

chat with his brother…

and hang out with me!  🙂

I think LuLu had a fun day getting lots of Maxwell time in…

and taking plenty of pictures with her fancy camera!

Katie and Anna were there to gather as many candy eggs as possible!  I’m sure Maxwell will be helping them hunt next year!

I had a wonderful time…

and even got to take my picture with the Easter Bunny!  hooray!

After melting in the sun for a while, we decided to go inside for a little air conditioning.  Maxwell was very excited about that…

And, finally, we had a little cousin time on the couch.

After that, it was on to Montgomery for the night.  Pictures from Easter Sunday tomorrow!

Would love to hear from you! 4 Comments

He has so much fun seeing everybody; he is a total people watcher. Although he got sad with uncle Ronnie, he did not think twice about enjoying all of his quality time with Katie and Anna. So much fun for everybody. All we needed were some Pattersons!

[…] Like last year, we drove down to Montgomery on the Saturday before Easter to go to the annual Inscoe egg hunt.  It’s a fun time for all and a great opportunity for Robert to see lots of high school friends.  Thankfully Maxwell mastered his boot-leg walking on Friday before we left so we didn’t have to carry him all day.  Once we got there (with only a 20 minute nap in the car) he didn’t stop for one second.  He was practically running all over the yard.  I have to say it – he looked pretty darn cute limping around in his seersucker and black boot!  As my mom keeps saying, “bless his little heart!” […]
