Maxwell had his 6 month check up yesterday and all looks good. Shockingly, my little chubbo is not so chubbo after all! While it feels like he’s grown so much over the past 2 months, he’s only gained 1 lb since his last check up in early January! what?! Dr. Walley isn’t concerned at all though…he thinks he’s just gearing up for a growth spurt. Maxwell now weighs 15lbs, 13 oz. which is in the 50th to 75th %. Still above average! I didn’t write down his exact height but he was 26 inches and something which is in the 75th to 90th %. The doctor said his legs are long and look like the legs of a 9 month old! We got some tips for introducing solid food and can’t wait for the eating adventures to begin! It was a great report all around and we are so thankful to have a healthy, thriving, slightly chubbo little boy!
Maxwell was very happy letting Dr. Walley look at him. But when he actually came close with his cold instruments…that was a different story!
He was happy again once he was back in my arms…
But then the nurse came in to give him his shots and….well…see for yourself…
Poor buddy. Breaks my heart. But, you’ll all be happy to know that he was back to his smiley self by that afternoon…
We love good doctor updates!
Yay Maxwell! Good Report!
Dr. Walley had to be impressed with how well he is sitting up on his own! Glad he got a good report. Hate to see our little buddy crying but he just did the very same thing that his mother and uncle did every time they went to the doctor! Love to see his big smile!
Awww. Glad he got a good report after all that trauma! 😉 He gets cuter every day if that is possible!
What a typical doctor reaction! I don’t know of any baby(or adult) who likes shots! Notice the doctor lets the nurse be the “heavy”! He is still so precious, even when he cries!
Maxwell,
It is better to give shots than to receive them, And you could be the doctor with med school just over the mountain.
Just a thought!
