Ending the first full week of summer happy and tan!
Make it a great weekend!
Tennis fun from March to May! My 4.0 soft court season wrapped up about two weeks ago. I was captain again and we ended up second place in the league which is great considering how many subs we had to get during the season. I also made my stats in singles so 4.5 here I come! Aside from soft court and USTA matches, there’s always lots of cardio tennis!
Cardio challenge!
Cinco de Mayo member guest at CCB!
And look who else took a lesson this week? Gonna turn her into a tennis savage just like me as Barry would say!
Love love!
Wrapped up another soccer season this weekend! We stuck with our same team for spring and had a really fun season. I don’t even know their record but they won more than they lost, had the best coaches around – including the new young Coach Bo-nana! – and had more fun than any other team they played.
They played in a Trussville tournament a few weeks ago and won their bracket! Woohoo!
We were hoping to come home winners from the end of season tournament this weekend but no such luck.
This was almost a goal to tie the game – bounced off the post – but I was too busy jumping and screaming to get a good picture! ha!
With their cute teacher Miss Burgess!
They might not have won the tournament but these girls are still “World Champions of the World”!
Samantha loves to play soccer and I love to watch her hustle!
Go Spirit Go!
Spencer is on a new AA baseball team this season and he’s really enjoying it. He likes all of the boys and is getting to play lots and lots of baseball! He’s been first batter all season and has mainly played center field and catcher. He’s also pitched a few times. I’m hoping he gets to pitch even more because he can put it over the plate!
The best baseball spectators!
Two weekends ago when I went to Destin with Maxwell for baseball, Robert went to Mississippi with Spencer for a tournament! I think everyone had a really good time and the Goats played awesome! Pretty sure the highlight was the cool hotel pool with a lazy river!
They even managed to locate a Dick’s so Spencer could get a new belt since his current one was at home in his closet! Oops!
Spencer got nailed in the arm with a pitch but he’s tough.
What a fun crew!
Even more fun? Winning the tournament! Woohoo! The Goats walked away champs!
Racking up that bling!
Proud of these boys! Go Yard Goats!
To end the baseball season, the team played in a tournament down in Destin, Florida. Robert and I had to divide and conquer that weekend – I went to Destin while he went to Flowood, Mississippi! Yea, I think I won! π It wasn’t a bad place to spend the weekend…
The Spartan Black team played 2 games on Saturday and lost both. But, Maxwell pitched the majority of the second games and did fantastic!! Truly fantastic. I dare say he was the single bright spot in that entire game!
They played again on Sunday and it was an awesome game. They had to go to extra innings and ended up losing but they all walked away with their head held high knowing they had played a great game.
It was a fun way to end the season and a nice little adventure for me and my first buddy!
Great job this season, Maxwell! We’re so proud of you!
