Mother’s Day

May 18, 2018

After a fantastic Saturday, it was Mother’s Day on Sunday! Maxwell brought me breakfast in bed and then they pulled off a hilarious surprise with the help of Mrs. Susan…

Ha! My little Daisy Duke!

We then went over to surprise Mrs. Susan in our pjs! She’s as much mother to these kids as anyone so it was only right to show her some extra love that day! Β πŸ™‚

After that it was down to Montgomery for lunch with the family.

Just like riding a bike…

May 17, 2018

Last weekend sure was nice with beautiful weather. Robert finally got home from traveling all week and everyone was very glad to have him home…

We had a nice dinner at The Club and enjoyed the view!

Spencer had decided he wanted to learn to ride a bike and so Maxwell reluctantly agreed to learn too. On Saturday we got the bike out and raised the seat and then Maxwell sat on it and just started riding around the driveway! Just like that! He was a pro on his very first try. I guess that’s what happens when you wait until 7.5 to learn to ride!

We then went down to the parking lot to get some practice in for Spencer…

He and Robert gave it a good run…

but Spence wasn’t quite ready to take off on his own yet. I think another couple weeks on the balance bike and he’ll be cruising! While Spencer practiced, these two monkeys had fun on the playground.

After all that hard work and play, I decided we needed some ice cream!

Doesn’t get better than that on a pretty weekend!

Dance Recital

May 16, 2018

Samantha’s recital was at last a week ago Friday and she was just as excited as could be! Susan and GJ went on up to save seats while I got her all ready in her costume, a bit of hairspray, and a little blush and lipgloss too! I think she was most excited about the hairspray and blush! Β πŸ™‚

The performance was adorable. The other class was the rain and Samantha’s class was the sun. After they danced separately they then did a little bit together as a rainbow! too cute!

My little sunshine

May 15, 2018

Oh, happy day! Samantha had her very first dance recital last week and it was just perfect! I took dance as a little girl and always loved the recitals, the costumes, the makeup and all of it. I have dreamed of doing it with my own little girl someday and the day did not disappoint!!

The class got their costumes several weeks ago and looked so cute trying them all on…

They were supposed to be the sun and they were very bright and happy!

They then also took their official pictures several weeks ago. My smiley sunshine was ready to go that day!!

Let’s just say she NAILED her photo!!

Mother’s Day Treats

May 14, 2018

My three made all kinds of cute treats for me this Mother’s Day!

Maxwell made me the prettiest bunch of flowers ever, wrote a nice little note, and drew my portrait!
