I wasn’t sure ole Gingerbread Elf would come back this year, especially after Samantha found him in my closet last January! oops! But, I guess he decided he wasn’t done with us yet…and he made a new friend in Maxwell who got involved in the elf’s antics this season!
Samantha might know he’s not real but she sure does get excited to see where he is each morning. Everyone needs a little Christmas magic!
This year I decided to just try and take a photo for our Christmas card myself. One Sunday after church when the kids were all dressed I took them out to the porch and snapped some photos with my camera. I think they came out pretty good if I do say so myself!
There were some real winners in there…
It was hard to pick one with some contenders like these…
But ultimately Samantha with her arms around her brothers won me over – with her long, pink, Halloween fingernails and all!
I love them so much.
Last week we had our second annual 4th grade MBE MBC mother daughter dinner and it was so fun! I love getting all dressed up with my best girl!
We started the night with an extra stop to see the giant dreidel and menorah lighting with Samantha’s friend Evie and her mom.
Samantha thought the latkes were pretty good!!
We then headed up to the club for a fun dinner and gift exchange. We did the “Frosty the Left Handed Snowman” story like last year…it was cute!
Love this group of girls and their moms!

Lots of holiday cheer up at school! I was the mystery reader in Samantha’s class on Wednesday and we played holiday scattergories and also celebrated her teacher’s birthday!
I then got to go up to the class again on Thursday for the class party…complete with a sock exchange!
