Really glad to have Maxwell around to help Samantha pull that loose tooth…because I’m not gonna do it!
Say cheese!
Capturing our adventures one photo at a time...
The final pics from the last few days of camp…
They had cabin awards and Samantha got “Most likely to be Captain of the Day every day!” Very fitting!
I was there bright and early for pickup day – I wasn’t the first car this year, I was the third – but I could have been the first! I had gotten up at the crack of dawn in Pigeon Forge to drive to North Carolina and had gotten there very early. I parked and waited at the gas station before heading into camp.
I might not have been the first car, but I was the first mom up the hill! Samantha saw me and I got the very best running, jumping hug! There is NOTHING BETTER than that first hug after camp! I was so, so happy to see my happy camper!
We then made the drive back to Birmingham. We both got a good laugh when we saw how many text messages she had gotten while at camp!
I am so grateful for Camp Greystone! I think she’s ready for next summer!
Samantha did lots activities at camp including: Mah jong, cooking, crafts, cheer, volleyball, tennis, high ropes/high adventure, archery, sewing, ceramics, glass fusion, and water park! So, so fun!! Of course there are the nightly programs where they all get to dress up – or wear pjs! – and play all kinds of awesome games. Camp is the best!
More pics tomorrow!
Samantha went back to Camp Greystone this summer! It was her third summer there and her second time going to the 3 week June session. She had the VERY best time! She had the sweetest counselors and got to be in a cabin again with friends that she met last summer. Hooray!
We loaded up to make the drive…
and spent the night in Greenville the night before drop off where we met up with her cabinmate…
and pretty much all of Mountain Brook that were going to Greystone! ha!
The next morning we made a StarBs run of course…
and then did the “drop and go!” Samantha was excited to be at Greystone!
I then immediately started stalking the photos every day so see my girl. We got lots from the first day of her with her cabin. Such a cute group of girls!
Samantha was sure to tell me that was not her messy drawer in the picture! ha! Hers was on the other side and was much neater. π Love her!
Lots more camp to come…
We had a fun 4th of July up at the pool! Spencer was still at camp but the rest of us beat the heat in the water!
Thankfully both kids had a few friends up there!
One of the swim team coaches was running all sorts of fun games for the kids – and she was very good about getting everyone to participate! These girls especially had fun with them…
and won some prizes!
Of course there were splash contests! Maxwell, I mean Gerald, gave a good showing in the biggest splash!
As did Robert! Unfortunately, his ear drum didn’t cooperate. Ouch.
I made a very good showing in the adult smallest splash contest but…no picture of course.
I’ll just leave these here with no comment…
It was a fun day at the pool! The boys then played golf and I went home to make some peach cobbler with my all-American girl!
Happy 4th!
