Off we go!
Spencer is a preschool graduate! His last regular day was last Wednesday…

and while he’s definitely grown up a lot this year, I don’t think he looks that much different than the first day!

Spencer had a fantastic year with Mrs. Beard. He’s a smart kid with excellent handwriting! Seriously, his penmanship is great. He knows a ton of sight words and is mastering some basic reading. He loved all of his class buddies this year – mostly Reedy Reed, Sebastian, CJ, and Drennen. He might have gone to time-out a time or two this year but he also knows how to listen, pay attention, and do what he’s supposed to do and that’s what counts! ย ๐

Graduation was on Thursday and he was looking sharp…

Just as sharp as Maxwell looked at graduation 2 years ago!

He did an excellent job during the program. He stood still, sang his songs, and didn’t let Sebastian distract him even though he tried pretty hard! ha! Spencer even managed to stay calm after his shoe came off and walked out of the program with one shoe half on! You just never know with Mr. Spencer!!

One of the moms in the class made this cute collage for Mrs. Beard and had each kid answer questions about her…

so cute.

We are SO proud of Spencer and know that he is more than ready for KINDERGARTEN!! Congratulations to our graduate!
In the two weeks leading up to the last day of school, Spencer’s class had special dress up days!
PJ day…

“Wear your favorite letter” day…yea, that one didn’t make much sense to me either! We decided an Alabama A was our favorite!

Pirate Day! Arrrrrrgh!

Hawaiian Day! Aloha!

Hat Day! (not to be confused with the aforementioned letter day despite our outfit!)

Backward Day!

Spence clearly enjoys a good dress up day! ๐
Samantha had her last day of school last week! She rocked 2K! Mrs. Betsy had nothing but wonderful things to say about her at the year end conference – she’s happy, giggly, and a good friend. She follows directions well and is quick to point out when others are not following directions! ha! Her BFFs at school this year were Evie Cate and John.
The last day of school…

She’s grown so much from the first day to the last!

We’re going to miss this sweet class – especially Mrs. Betsy! All 3 kids have had her and she’s the best!

A great school year in the books!
Street Party success! Just like the last one, it was months of planning, lots of hard work, but all worth it! The day went off (mostly) without a hitch and I think all the kids had a great time. The weather was perfect and everything seemed to run smoothly! Yay!
As always, GJ was there to help and I couldn’t have done it without her.ย Maxwell also decided he needed to come “help” for the day so he played hooky from 1st grade to go back to preschool! ย ๐

Just some pics of the setup so I remember. Unfortunately I didn’t get a great pic of the inside room that had tattoos, face painting, and superhero masks to decorate.

With my co-chair, Sarah…

The most important thing was that the kids had FUN! They loved the games, the prizes, the bounce house!!

Sadly, the only snafu of the day was when the generator powering both of the bounce houses in the park went down. We were able to get one up and going with an extension cord and then FunSource finally got back out there with a new generator. Not ideal but out of our control. We made it work!

It was a lot of work but I had 3 good reasons to do it!

I’d do anything for this crew! ย ๐
