It’s a GIRL! We are thrilled to introduce Samantha Keath Brown born yesterday, 1/27, at 1:04pm. She is 7lbs, 2oz and 20 inches long. Big brothers Maxwell and Spencer met her in the afternoon and think she’s pretty awesome! While Maxwell was disappointed we didn’t name her Flowery or Lily, he kept wanting to hold her and give her kisses. Spencer didn’t want to get near her but did try to give her his snickerdoodle cookie and kept telling us “baby cwying”. It’s gonna be fun!
More tomorrow!
38 weeks today! 2 weeks – or less! – and counting! For the record, Maxwell was 1 day after his due date and Spencer was 5 days before. We’ll see when #3 decides to get here. Because my friends have been asking and because I want to be able to look back and remember, here’s the bump progression…

As I mentioned, we told Maxwell about the new baby this past weekend. He’s really come around to the idea and is pretty darn excited now, especially when he finally grasped the idea that the baby is ALREADY IN MY TUMMY. What?! Anyway, he went to school on Monday and I guess decided he just had to spread the news. When I went to pick the boys up from school that day, Spencer’s teacher was the first to say, “So, Maxwell tells us he’s going to have a baby sister!” ha! When I told her it was true (well, sister OR brother), the teachers all laughed and said they would need to apologize to him because they hadn’t believed him! Then, the next day, Max’s mom texted me and said, “Max just told me that Maxwell announced to the class that he is getting another baby!” Ha! When you’ve got good news, you’ve got to share I guess! And, no, we don’t know that it’s a sister…but Maxwell has now decided that he wants a sister because “we already have a baby bruver.” Makes sense to me! 🙂

You know how you envision your life a certain way? Well, I always envisioned my life with 2 kids. Just 2.
Guess this is one of the few times I’ll admit I was wrong. 🙂
We’ll be a family of FIVE in late January! Bring on the chaos…it’s gonna be fun!
TGIF! I had this post ready to go last Friday and then…well…we had a baby! What a wonderful week it has been. My heart is full and so are my arms! I still want to share these pics though because I love them of me and my first baby…
I’m so glad I got to enjoy the past few weeks soaking up my time as a mom of one with the apple of my eye(glasses)…
(get it! see him in my glasses?!) 🙂
After all, he is my sunshine, my only sunshine…

Seriously, I know things are all changing and I’m just grateful that I had 2 years alone with this little guy…
and I can’t wait for the next 62 (give or take a few!) with my TWO little guys!
Even if our life is going to look a little more wild and crazy like this!
