Doc update

Maxwell had his 2 week appointment with the pediatrician yesterday and he got an A+!  His weight is up to 7 lbs 15 ounces.  He was only 7 lbs at his appointment last Friday so that’s almost a whole pound in one week!  Growing boy!  He’s in the 50th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height.  The doctor says if he stays on that height track he’ll be around 6 ft. tall!  We’ll see!  He behaved so well for the doctor and only wailed for a few minutes when he had to get his heel pricked.

So pitiful with the giant band-aid on his heel…

He was happy and content again in no time though…

Amateur photo shoot

Hope you all had a great weekend.  We did.  We took a long stroll, watched some football and cooked some ribs.  Yum!  I also took a very exciting trip to Wal-Mart by myself…never thought I’d be so excited to go to Wal-Mart!!  If only it had been Target…

So, last week I had a photographer come to the house to take some newborn shots of Maxwell.  Let’s just say the day did not exactly go as planned.  Our little model wasn’t wanting to cooperate.  But more on that in a later post.  What the day did do was inspire me to set up my own little photo shoot and get in some good practice taking shots of my sweet baby boy.  He’s 11 days old in these.  Here are my favorites of the ones I took…

A big adventure

Yesterday Maxwell and I ventured out in the stroller for a little walk around the neighborhood.  Even though he slept the whole time, I know he enjoyed it and was proud of us, just as I was!  Our first big adventure in the stroller!

Yesterday I also finally caught at least one of his sweet dimples on camera!  He’s got one on each side, just like his Dad!

Call me biased but I really don’t think there is anything cuter!
