Thanks to a massive storm here yesterday, I’m having some technical difficulties. Namely no phone, tv or internet. An AT&T rep can’t get out here to get it fixed until this afternoon so I had to do this post using 3G on my ipad which means I’m not able to get any photos off of my computer onto the internet. So I’m just going to share a few more of my little Gold Medal winner that I already had uploaded to Flickr!

The worst part is that I missed getting to watch the women’s gymnastics last night! I tried to watch someof it online but it was spoiled for me because as soon as I clicked on nbc’s site to find out how to watch it,  the headlines on the site told me the results! Oh well! I think I’ve decided that my favorite part of the Olympics is watching the reactions of the parents in the stands – such anxiety, pride and joy. I love it! Who knows, maybe I’ll be that parent someday cheering Maxwell onto victory!

I came home yesterday and Susan said she has a surprise for me…and it might have been the best surprise EVER!  Maxwell came around the corner dressed like this little gold medal winner!!!!!

Could you not just die?!  I was CRACKING UP!  She taught him how to pose on the medal stand too…

WINNER!!  He looked so funny with all of his bushy hair smushed under that (adult size!) swim cap.

Phelps and Lochte better watch out!  Maxwell’s coming for them!

He was loving it, I was loving it, Susan was loving it.

First, Maxwell is 23 months old today!! What in theworld? I cannot believe 2 is just one month away.

Second, we had a great weekend and I hope you did too. Maxwell was just so FUN all weekend long. Robert and I were getting the biggest kick out of everything he was saying and doing. This is such a fun age…most of the time!  Just don’t ask me about mealtime!  🙂

What did we do this weekend that was so fun you ask? Well, let me tell you…

We breakfasted…

Maxwell got another “tiggle” and I got him a smoothie from Starbucks which he loved and drank every bit of!  Yay for fresh fruit and milk!

We parked…

We braved the heat because I’ve been missing our swings!

We water hosed…

And it sure felt good after a hot walk and trip to the park! We were both soaked by the end!

We frozen yogurted…

Even though he couldn’t wait to get his cup of yogurt, Maxwell ended up being way more interested in the cookies on top. He kept wanting to share his yogurt with me though which I didn’t mind!

We car washed…

Maxwell was fascinated!

The next day we Home Depoted…

After he tried out all the lawn mowers, Maxwell was just running up and down the aisles yelling, “aaahhhh!” and trying to pull down every tape measure, pair of gloves, and tube of Liquid Nails within his reach!  HD is almost as much fun as Bass Pro!

Finally, we parked again!

We also got some good work done on cleaning out what will be BBB #2’s room. I had a little panic attack around 3:30am Friday when I woke up and started thinking that he’ll be here in only 3 months!  We’ve got work to do but I know it will get finished in time…because when we all do it, it soon gets done!  (sorry, little Sesame Street inside joke there!)  🙂

Hope you all had a good weekend too!

First, I’m happy to report that naptime was back to normal yesterday.  No fuss, no muss and a good 3.5 hour snooze!

Second, as you’ve heard me complain about many times before, it’s HOT here.  HOT HOT HOT!  So when you go outside to water the tomato plants and Maxwell wants to get a little relief from heat with the waterhose, it’s just impossible to say no to…not to mention too cute!!

All he needs is his fire hat!

I had to watch out though because he was a little dangerous with that water!

He had a blast!

And even actually helped water my flowers…

and my tomatoes!

Maxwell also learned that it’s fun to stick  his hand into the stream of water…

and even more fun to stick his head into it!

Of course, all good fun must come to an end at some point.  But not before you run around in your diaper for a little bit!

What a way to cool off!
