Egg hunt

March 25, 2016

Happy almost Easter!

easter

We all made it up to church for Palm Sunday last weekend and for our church’s egg hunt. My crew looked cute, at least in my opinion!  😉

Spencer wearing “big boy” church clothes is almost too much for me…

Baby wore her pretty blue dress again because it was much colder than we expected that morning!

We then headed up to church for the egg hunt…

I’m just going to state that I might never again attend our church’s egg hunt. It’s just not set up well – the areas for the little and big kids are separated – but the boys wanted to be together – and then it’s hard on the parents to have to go with kids to different areas  – and they make them all get into one big photo and then everyone has to file out basically single file to get to the egg areas – and, well, it’s just never the fun it’s supposed to be.

Spencer was especially having a rough day. Granted, he didn’t feel good and ended up at the doctor the next day but, still. He wanted to go with Maxwell but then couldn’t see him in all the group of kids. He then wanted to go to the egg area for 3 and under but by the time we got there all the eggs were gone. He was pretty upset having only 1 egg in his basket. Other kids (urged by their parents!) were very nice to share a few eggs so he didn’t go home completely empty handed.

I’m thinking the egg hunt at our house on Easter morning will be more his speed!

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend!

Ballers

March 24, 2016

We were ballers around here last weekend for sure. We had Maxwell’s t-ball game on Saturday, Spencer’s soccer game on Sunday, and then back to t-ball on Monday for Maxwell’s practice! Something tells me I better get used to that!

Once again, we got lucky with the weather at the game – dreary but thankfully no rain! The A’s all seemed to “get it” a little more at this game.

Maxwell had some great hits…

and did good to pay attention during the game and be “baseball ready!”. He got to play pitcher (fun!) and actually made a real baseball play! The batter hit the ball, Maxwell scooped it up, threw it to first, and the boy at first actually caught the ball! And this was all before the batter could run to first. woohoo!!

Gooooo A’s!

Fashion Friday

March 18, 2016

Now that the warm weather is here, I’m LOVING dressing Samantha in all her cute spring outfits! How about a little fashion round-up on this lovely Friday?

Wearing my dress from when I was little…

Cute pink stripes…

Chic in chambray…

Can’t go wrong in floral (which also served her well on St. Patrick’s Day!)…

and, finally, this cuteness…

I can barely stand it! Don’t worry, the boys have been looking mighty sharp too!

Field photog

March 17, 2016

First, Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Hope you’re wearing your green!

Second, we had t-ball practice on Monday afternoon and it was another beautiful – albeit windy – day. Maxwell practiced while I tried to entertain the other two. We’ve been taking the soccer ball to kick around and that keeps Spencer happy for most of the time.

Samantha just loves being able to explore.

This week though, Spencer decided he was tired of kicking the soccer ball and really, really wanted to take “a” picture with my phone. Fine. When I finally got my phone back I think he had taken in excess of 230 photos! ha! Some highlights of Spencer’s view of t-ball practice…

He was sure to capture all sides of the field.

And I can’t blame him for taking this one because the blue sky was beautiful that day!

He did manage to get a few (meaning about 30) shots of Maxwell actually playing t-ball so that was good.

Here’s where I tried to (unsuccessfully) take my phone back…

Here’s baby eating dirt…

and here’s me wiping the dirt out of her mouth.

Here’s another picture of this poor man who definitely knew Spencer was taking his picture but pretended to ignore it.  🙂

And these ladies who were having a nice time apparently.

Finally, here’s a nice shot of the ground with his cute little foot poking in.

tball

I was going to be mad at him, but then he did this over and over…

tball

Can’t get mad at that sweet boy sharing with his sister. One thing’s for sure, this kid is always going to make me laugh.

I just gotta keep him away from my phone!
