Another day, another trip to the beach!

Of course, there’s always a football around!

Maxwell has no issue asking anyone on the beach if he can join into their football game!

3 kids happy as they can be!

Of course we also made it to the beach while down in Naples!

The water was still a little chilly so we didn’t do much swimming but that didn’t bother the kids one bit. They’d rather play in the sand anyway!

This made me laugh…as if fair skinned Spencer EVER needs to lay directly in the sun! ha! He’s got a bright future full of swim shirts and beach umbrellas! π

My beach babies!

While the water was chilly, that didn’t stop Samantha from wading out farther than she needed to go. I kept telling her she was getting too far and she needed to come back. She wouldn’t listen. “I’m fine!”

Well, she took one more step and wasn’t fine and I had to dash out there in my cover up to pull her up and out of the water. Not fun. I was thankful to get back home and swim in the hot tub again where her toes can touch the bottom!

We headed down to Naples for Spring Break two weeks ago and, as always, had a great time!

We swam in the heated hot tub at home…

and went to the heated pool at the club!

We rode scooters and trikes…

and climbed our favorite tree.

We baked treats…

and ate treats!

Of course we went to Target…

and had breakfast at Skillets where Spencer decided he actually liked bacon! (smart boy!)

Princess Samantha reigned over us all…

and the boys even got pampered at the salon getting some Easter haircuts!

We hung out with Daddo…

and loved on GJ!

Of course, all the fun wore us out…

and we can’t wait to go back!

While down in Naples we decorated Easter eggs – but instead of dyeing them we made cool designs with markers using these Egg-mazing Egg Decorators!

My mom ordered them and they really were fantastic. We were decorating fake eggs and they worked great on those. Nate and Delaney used them the following week with real boiled eggs and reported that they worked even better with those.

The kids had a blast with them and made some of the coolest looking eggs I’ve seen!

It was WAY less mess than dyeing eggs – I hope this tradition sticks around!

Easter morning we woke up and were happy to see that the bunny had been by!

All kinds of goodies for my crew! and plenty of candy too! We then got dressed in our Easter finest to head down to Montgomery for the day. While I was helping the boys get ready, Samantha disappeared and then re-appeared crying “I sorry Mama! I sorry!”. When I saw her, I knew why she was sorry…

Yep, that’s ink. She took apart an ink pen in Maxwell’s room and was covered head to toe. That was after she had drawn on the back of Maxwell’s chair. I guess my kids just have a thing for furniture art! Thankfully she didn’t get much at all on the carpet and, even more thankfully, she didn’t have her dress on yet!! He dress was super special because it was the same dress that I wore for Easter when I was 3!

So cute I can barely stand it!! A few more from Easter 1981…

And my sweet 3 year old in the sweetest dress!

The boys were looking super sharp too…

The best looking trio around!

We had a great day in Montgomery – lunch at the country club and then plenty of visiting and cousin play time at Lulu and Granddaddy’s house afterward. I also got a few more good group pictures….

A wonderful day, indeed!
