Day 2 went just as good as day 1!

We even got sister in the picture yesterday morning!

No, I did not tell her to pose! She did that all on her own! ha! She’s a mess and I’m so glad she’s MY mess!
Happy for a good start to school!

They both rocked it! What a great first day!
Not surprisingly, I had to wake Spencey up but they were all downstairs and ready in plenty of time…

and then it was off to school!

Kindergarten ready!

and Second Grade ready!

Spencer just wanted to walk over with Maxwell so I didn’t go to the flagpole with them…and I so wish I had. π

Thankfully, big brother took care of him and got him into the classroom. Phew. When I picked Spencer up at 2:00 he was all smiles!! Hooray!!

I think he had a GREAT day and even got a smiley in his notebook!

Maxwell was home an hour later and, from what I got out of him, had a fantastic day too. I think he was just so happy to be back with all of his friends all day. He and Spencer even both bought lunch – pizza!

Now we get to get up and do it all again tomorrow! Ready for a fun year!
It’s here! First day of 2nd grade and Kindergarten for my boys! I know it’s going to be a great year for them both! We got to go meet their teachers yesterday and all went great…
Spencer was excited…and I think a little nervous.

He was pretty quiet and kind of hid behind me a bit. But he liked checking out his new room and I know that some of the boys we met are going to be his buds in no time.

Somehow I ended up not getting a pic of him with his teacher but she’s great!
Maxwell went later that morning and was not nervous at all…

He was actually pretty quiet in the classroom but then saw a bunch of his friends outside of the school and was loving life.

I’m so proud of both of these boys and can’t wait to see what all this year brings.
First, happy belated birthday to Granddaddy! We hope it was a GREAT day!!
Second, today is the final day of summer! School starts tomorrow! We celebrated with our awesome neighborhood yesterday afternoon – bouncy water slide, slip N slide, popsicles…can’t beat that!!

What a truly awesome summer it has been. On to the next adventure!!
We have some new tennis shoes….

we have fresh haircuts…

and we have clean teeth!

I’d say we’re almost ready to start back to school! Happy Friday!
