I’ve been going back through old photos to make some albums and it’s making me really miss these sweet baby boys…

We made it through another Halloween with only a few tears and a few bruises but lots of lots of candy! The fun started bright and early when my 5:15am gym class got in the spirit!

Samantha thought my wig was pretty funny!

Pretty soon my crew was ready to scare away some ghosts for school!

They ain’t afraid of no ghosts! That afternoon I got to go up and help with Spencer’s class party.

Around 4:30 it was time to get costumes on and head out! Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Rapunzel reporting for Halloween duty!

It ended up being pretty warm that night and a little muggy. At least it wasn’t raining though! We started off with the neighbors for a little pre-party…

and then trick-or-treated up the street on the way to the main party. Samantha was having a little trouble keeping up with the big kids…

but then she found a friend and it worked out!

Spencer’s night started off better than expected when he got a KING size Kit Kat!

The party was fun and chaotic with bounce houses, the train, and lots of people. We then took off trick-or-treating and tried to stay together but Maxwell wanted to go off with his friends, Samantha wouldn’t go to a door by herself, and Spencer was trying to keep up with all of it. Unfortunately, in trying to keep up he tripped and fell and caught himself with his face on a driveway. OUCH. The screams were pretty loud and he was pretty pitiful. We were literally the furthest point we could have been from home so all we could do was start walking back. He didn’t trick-or-treat anymore but was doing a little better by the time we made it back to the house.

We might have had an injury but everyone had full baskets and all the candy they could want!

Despite Samantha’s face there I’d say it was a successful Halloween!
Happy Halloween from Han Solo, Chewbaca, and Rapunzel!!

We got to have a test run in our costumes on Monday when we went trick-or-treating at Robert’s office.

Let the sugar rush begin!!

Hope you don’t get spooked today!! Happy Halloween!
It’s almost Halloween! The boys had the Boo Bash at school on Friday last week and, despite the drizzly, cold weather, had the BEST time! We didn’t go full costume for school and just went as a football and baseball player…

They had all kinds of fun games…

including a cake walk where both Maxwell and Spencer won. We got to take home a full cake and 18 cookies! Just what we needed!

Also, just so I remember, here’s what I made for the cake walk. Pans of brownies with an icing spider web and a spider! easy!

There were even rides too! So so fun!

Spencer clearly LOVED them! (I’m sure Maxwell did too but he was off with his friends and didn’t care about walking around with me! ha!)

It really was a fun day with sweet school friends!

Maxwell’s class…

and Spencer’s!

Happy almost Halloween from these two!

Boo bash success!
Both boys had great fall baseball seasons! Maxwell is a solid player who continues to steadily improve. He had some really good plays this season and proved to be a great pitcher (not pitching but playing the pitcher position). He might not have wanted to play pitcher (he wanted to be at first!) but he proved he was someone the team could count on!

Spencer had so much fun playing coach pitch and never had to go to the tee even once! He got to play first quite a bit and had several legitimate outs!

We all had fun entertaining ourselves at the ballpark – icees all around! We even kept score with the help of GJ at one of the last games!

I sadly had to miss Maxwell’s last game and apparently he had the game of his life! Made a double play, caught a pop fly in the outfield, and just played great all the way around. He was pretty proud to get the game ball on that final game! Woohoo!

I missed Maxwell’s game because I was at Spencer’s next to last game! A slightly rainy and fun night!

Goooo Cubs!

It was a great season for this awesome Dodger and this fantastic Cub!

Their favorite cheerleader had a good season too! Β π

Always fun at the ole ballgame! Who’s ready for spring ball?!
