The Orange Bowl is tomorrow and, thanks to Mrs. Susan, we’re ready!
As always, Susan makes Christmas the MOST fun and is so generous with the kids. The love it and I do too! Her love of Christmas is infectious!!

Back in November I wasn’t sure what we were going to use for our Christmas card and a photographer I follow on Instagram posted that she was doing last minute mini-sessions. I was hesitant to use another pro pic for our card this year after the unbelievable ones we had done last year by Jeff Roffman. But, they didn’t cost much so I figured, why not? I had my crew all cute and color coordinated but, I think we still got a case of you get what you pay for! Meh.
Look, they aren’t terrible. There are some cute ones of the kids individually but I used individual photos on my card last year so all I wanted this year was a good one of the 5 of us and I didn’t get that. In most of the group photos, at least one face is completely out of focus. That I cannot tolerate.

Why are we standing in front of this wooden construction fence?! I didn’t realize what was behind us and was trusting her to find a good spot for a photo. Not sure this is it.

Oh well! Live and learn! I think we ended up with a great card anyway!! Maybe next year I won’t torture the kids into dressing and posing for pictures…maybe. 🙂
After an initial unexpected visit with Santa in Highlands, we made our official visit to see him last night! The kids were excited and requests were made!
Samantha asked for a “big Barbie head and a bike. A purple one.” Note, the bike was a very last minute addition to her Christmas list! Let’s see if Santa can deliver.
Spencer came fully prepared with printed out pictures of the specific Jurassic World Lego sets he wants. He wasn’t taking any chances!
Maxwell asked for two Alabama jerseys and a Nintendo Switch. Another note, Santa did not know he wanted those jerseys until very recently and is not sure the elves are going to have enough time to sew them! We shall see!
It was a great visit and we are now officially ready for Christmas!!!
Ho Ho Ho!
Lots of fun stuff going on at school around Christmastime! I got to go up and decorate gingerbread houses with Spencer this week…
I also got to watch his class for an hour while his teacher went to the staff luncheon. It was fun…but an hour was enough for me to teach Kindergarten! ha!
His teacher also sent this of the class dressed up for the Christmas Concert last week…
I also got to help with Spencer’s class Christmas party where they had a special visitor! Ho Ho Ho!
I stopped into Maxwell’s class party too but this is the only picture I got! ha!
Samantha had fun during her last week and brought home a whole bag full of awesome Christmas crafts! She also brought home my favorite thing – her magnet! Love having all of these on my fridge.
She also got to have a pj day at school…
as did Spencer!
Samantha also looked cute in her old Christmas dress for her Christmas party at school! Making it last one more year!
