By Christmas Eve the kids had already gotten several fun Christmas presents so that morning there were tea parties to be had…

The kids wanted to sit in the balcony and after having listened to Samantha complain about how she couldn’t see at the boys’ Christmas concert at school, I thought the front row of the balcony sounded like a great idea. Perfect viewing for all!

That night we got the cookies and milk ready and did our best to sleep – visions of sugarplums and all!

We celebrated with my side of the family the weekend before Christmas. My brother and his crew made the trip up from Florida so we could all celebrate together in Birmingham in GJ and Daddo’s new house! Have I mentioned my parents bought the house next door to us? I don’t think I have but they did and it’s AWESOME! They won’t be here all the time but we sure do love it when they are! They may not have much furniture in the house yet but they had Christmas decorations!!

Of course the cousins all had fun playing together – and “helping” GJ make cookies!

We thankfully had decent weather so they were all able to run out some energy outside…

We also had Susu here which was extra special to get to see her with all of her great grandkids!

Like the past few years, Gingerbread Elf came to visit on the 1st of December. He kept a watch over the kids, gave good reports to Santa, and even brought a few goodies! Some of his antics…

He brought ornaments for everyone! A ball and glove for Maxwell, a dinosaur for Spencer, a ballerina for Samantha, a candy house for me, and a Frosty for Robert!

He also brought personalized mugs with hot chocolate for the kids…

Cookie party 2!

After having Samantha’s friends over in the morning, we were invaded by boys in the afternoon! Maxwell and Spencer each got to have a few friends over. We did the party right after the last day of school and they were pumped up!!

The boys were not quite as careful with their decorations! and they also ate a lot more of their cookies than the girls did! ha!

After about 25 minutes, all of the boys had finished and gone to play – all except for Maxwell and Max! They both sat there and diligently finished their cookies while chatting away! Love them.
