Thanksgiving

We had a lovely Thanksgiving day with all of the crew over at Lulu and Granddaddy’s. Everyone took turns getting lots and lots of photos…

Stair pics!

I made a pecan pie which was really good, even if it was with store bought pie crust (Wholly Wholesome from Whole Foods per Ina Garten’s rec!)

In between eating, the kids had fun running around the house together…

and after eating, the adults had fun napping together!

This one brought all the energy…

before he finally slowed down and Maxwell was happy he found a place in his lap!

That evening Samantha and I headed back to Birmingham but the boys stayed for one more adventure. The next morning Maxwell got in some more snuggles…

and they helped Lulu decorate a little!

Sharp shooters

On Friday morning we went out for some target practice thanks to Ronnie. He hooked the boys up with a great setup and it was a beautiful sunny – and chilly! – day. Perfect for an outdoor adventure!

Samantha even took a turn shooting and hit the bell target with no problem! Bullseye!

While the boys shot, Samantha and I walked up and down and up and down the hay rows. I think I got 6K steps in which made me happy before the Thanksgiving meal!

A fun way to start Thanksgiving! Thanks Ronnie!

We had a great Thanksgiving in Montgomery! The adventure started on Wednesday with ice skating for the girls while the boys were on the golf course. Montgomery Whitewater has an ice rink and it was a nice setup – only problem was the 72 degree temps and the sunshine! I think we were actually water skating instead of ice skating…but it was still fun!

That evening we all headed over to Jenny and Ronnie’s for tacos! The kids loved their pink lemonade “margaritas”!

Of course everyone’s favorite activity was chasing around Baby Holland! He’s the cutest!!

It was a great night all around…

and of course there was a stair pic – not the last of the weekend!

It’s tiiiiime!

We had a tree fluffer come last week (yes, that’s a thing apparently) and the tree has never looked better!

Halloween

We had the best Halloween! Perfect weather, a Friday night, and more candy than we can eat. Check check!

I wasn’t sure I would see Maxwell again that day so I made him take a picture before he left for school at 6:45am!

but I did get a picture of him with the pumpkin he carved the night before!

I did manage to grab a porch pic of Samantha and Spencer before they went off in separate directions!

Samantha was my glittering gold in her Laughs a Lot Care Bear fit!

Spencer and Maxwell then went off to Crestline to watch the parade and meet up with friends for the night. Samantha and I went to meet up with the rest of the Care Bears and get a prime spot for the parade!

These girls had full bags by the time the parade was over!

They dumped their bags and headed to Kate’s for a quick bite to eat and then they trick-or-treated in our neighborhood and Colonial Hills all night. We grabbed a quick photo booth photo and then I didn’t see Samantha again until I picked her up at 8:30! She did manage to find the photo booth a few more times though!
