Montgomery

December 1, 2025

We had a great Thanksgiving in Montgomery! The adventure started on Wednesday with ice skating for the girls while the boys were on the golf course. Montgomery Whitewater has an ice rink and it was a nice setup – only problem was the 72 degree temps and the sunshine! I think we were actually water skating instead of ice skating…but it was still fun!

That evening we all headed over to Jenny and Ronnie’s for tacos! The kids loved their pink lemonade “margaritas”!

Of course everyone’s favorite activity was chasing around Baby Holland! He’s the cutest!!

Don’t even ask…

It was a great night all around…

and of course there was a stair pic – not the last of the weekend!

It’s tiiiiime!

We had a tree fluffer come last week (yes, that’s a thing apparently) and the tree has never looked better!

Halloween

We had the best Halloween! Perfect weather, a Friday night, and more candy than we can eat. Check check!

I wasn’t sure I would see Maxwell again that day so I made him take a picture before he left for school at 6:45am!

but I did get a picture of him with the pumpkin he carved the night before!

I did manage to grab a porch pic of Samantha and Spencer before they went off in separate directions!

Samantha was my glittering gold in her Laughs a Lot Care Bear fit!

Spencer and Maxwell then went off to Crestline to watch the parade and meet up with friends for the night. Samantha and I went to meet up with the rest of the Care Bears and get a prime spot for the parade!

These girls had full bags by the time the parade was over!

They dumped their bags and headed to Kate’s for a quick bite to eat and then they trick-or-treated in our neighborhood and Colonial Hills all night. We grabbed a quick photo booth photo and then I didn’t see Samantha again until I picked her up at 8:30! She did manage to find the photo booth a few more times though!

Spencer and Maxwell found crews of friends and had fun in Crestline…

Robert and I walked around without kids, chatted with a few people and then realized we’d much rather be at home! ha!

That night everyone (plus a few others) were home safe and sound with plenty of candy!

A great Halloween of all treats, no tricks!

Boo Bash

Happy Halloween!! Hoping we finally get some sunshine today! Yesterday was an awesome Boo Bash despite the cold, wet weather. My “Laughs a Lot” Care Bear was excited for the fun day!

Safety Patrol!

When I got to Boo Bash for my shift it was still misty raining but thankfully that cleared up by the time Samantha’s grade came out. It was COLD though! I was chilled to the bone in my full length puffer coat but it didn’t seem to bother my Care Bear in her shorts! They were too busy riding rides and playing games to be cold!

The 5th grade teachers fully committed to their trophy costume!

4th at the pool

We had a fun 4th of July up at the pool! Spencer was still at camp but the rest of us beat the heat in the water!

Thankfully both kids had a few friends up there!

One of the swim team coaches was running all sorts of fun games for the kids – and she was very good about getting everyone to participate! These girls especially had fun with them…
