Easter!

April 25, 2011

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.  We headed down to Montgomery on Saturday and had a great weekend with Robert’s side of the family.  The fun started on Saturday afternoon with an annual egg hunt hosted by the Inscoes.  The sun was shining and it was a beautiful – and HOT – day!  It felt even hotter carrying around an 18lb space heater on my hip!  But, he looked so cute in his smocked sheep outfit and white sandals that I didn’t mind one bit.

This was actually Maxwell’s second time at the egg hunt.  He was there last year in my belly…

And he was there this year in my arms!

Maxwell wasn’t lacking for attention at the hunt.  He was squeezed, pinched, and head-rubbed all day!

I can’t blame anyone though because he did look awfully cute…

While Maxwell had fun, he wasn’t quite so sure about the heat…

And he wasn’t quite so sure about Uncle Ronnie either!

Don’t worry, they were best buds a minute later!

It was a fun day for Robert to get to see some old friends…

chat with his brother…

and hang out with me!  🙂

I think LuLu had a fun day getting lots of Maxwell time in…

and taking plenty of pictures with her fancy camera!

Katie and Anna were there to gather as many candy eggs as possible!  I’m sure Maxwell will be helping them hunt next year!

I had a wonderful time…

and even got to take my picture with the Easter Bunny!  hooray!

After melting in the sun for a while, we decided to go inside for a little air conditioning.  Maxwell was very excited about that…

And, finally, we had a little cousin time on the couch.

After that, it was on to Montgomery for the night.  Pictures from Easter Sunday tomorrow!

Would love to hear from you! 4 Comments

Cousins

April 22, 2011

Just a few more pictures off my camera from this past weekend.  Delaney and crew were still here on Monday and she had fun entertaining Maxwell…

Delaney then took a little magazine break.  Gotta keep up with the Most Beautiful!

She wasn’t that interested in J. Lo though so quickly went back to playing.

Nate just kicked back and relaxed as usual.

We love playing with cousins!

Also, if you’re wondering, I did end up getting Maxwell the sandals mentioned in this post and they’re super cute!

Love how he’s catching some air in that picture.  Jump jump jumping in the Jumperoo!!

Would love to hear from you! 3 Comments

Baptism Weekend – part 3

April 20, 2011

Continuing on with the events of last weekend…

After brunch, Robert’s side of the family headed back to Montgomery and Huntsville but my side of the family came over to our house for a little bit.  Maxwell was clearly happy to get out of his “fancy” clothes and into something a bit more comfy…

He then had fun checking out Daddo’s watch as usual.

Delaney was pretty good at pulling out all of Maxwell’s toys, including Little Al!

After running around and around, we finally got Delaney to sit still for a few minutes by turning on an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  She loved seeing Mimi Mouse and Don Duck!  🙂  Here’s she and Daddo watching intently…

Meanwhile, John and Cara got some good Maxwell time in…

and GJ smiled!

Maxwell then got to open some really sweet gifts for the big occasion.  Along with a beautiful silver frame and sweet wooden cross, he also got a bath time Sophie…

a cute Noah and his Ark…

and an awesome elephant rocker!

Of course he tried to eat the ears!

We then tried to get a few shots of Susu with her great-grandbabies.

A shot of 1 baby worked great…

a shot of 2 babies was a little difficult…

and a shot of 3 babies was impossible!

It was pretty funny.  At least we tried!

And, finally, just a few more shots to round out the day…

It was such a fun weekend and I’m so grateful so much of my family was able to be there.  I’m ready to do it all again!

Would love to hear from you! 3 Comments

Baptism Weekend – part 2

April 19, 2011

All the baptism details continue…

Maxwell was baptized at the 11:00 service at IPC this past Sunday.  As you saw yesterday, a lot of my family was already in town but my Uncle John, Aunt Cara and my Granddaddy (the original Maxwell!) flew in from Arkansas Sunday morning.  Robert’s family all drove over Sunday morning too.  Everyone wanted to be sure and get a front row seat so they were all there nice and early waiting outside until it was time to go in.  My mom snapped some shots of everyone outside….

Susan was there too!  So special!

Meanwhile, Robert and I were upstairs with Maxwell also waiting for everything to begin!

How sweet is Maxwell in his little silk bubble with his knee socks?  I just love him so much.  He did GREAT during the service.  He started to stick his lip out when Reverend Sharps took him from Robert but then quickly decided that Reverend Sharps was pretty nice and he was fine.  There was another little girl getting baptized that day as well so we had to share the stage.  It was kind of nice though because it let us stay out there a little longer and let everyone get a good look at our good-looking baby boy!  🙂  After the baptism, Robert and I left while the rest of our family stayed for the remainder of the service. Here we are after the baptism in the courtyard…

After church, we hosted everyone out at The Club for brunch.  It was a great location to hold a group of 26!  I actually got a photographer to come take some photos of all the generations together.  I should have those pictures next week and can’t wait to see them!

I put together little goodie bags for the kiddos in the group to help entertain during lunch…

I think they were a hit!

As soon as everyone arrived, we headed outside to let the photographer snap away.  I didn’t have my camera out but Jenny did!  Love this one that she took…

And here’s a look at one of the many group shots we got – all the Pattersons in a row!

After we posed and smiled and said “Cheese!!” too many times to count, we all headed inside to eat.  Maxwell took his place of honor at the head of the table!

Ronnie took that picture.  It might be my favorite from the day!

Here’s a few more of our group enjoying the meal and the company…

I was so happy that Granddaddy was able to make it.  Jenny caught some great images of Max and Maxwell…

Love those.  All of the kiddos did so well both during church and at brunch.  Delaney had fun…

and Katie and Anna were all smiles!

Somehow I didn’t get a picture of Nate, Yohannes or Tripp but they were there too.  We had a big, fun crew!  The excitement soon proved to be too much for the littlest ones though.  Nate snoozed for most of brunch…

And Maxwell wasn’t far behind.  Here he is starting to settle down with his best bud, Nanner…

His eyes then got really heavy…

and then he was OUT!

It’s exhausting being the center of attention!  🙂

More pictures tomorrow!

Would love to hear from you! 4 Comments

Baptism Weekend – part 1

April 18, 2011

Well, this past weekend simply could not have been better. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and Maxwell was baptized at IPC on Sunday. We had just about our entire family in town for the big event and it was so special. My little guy did great during the church service and made us all very proud. I have lots of pictures to share so here we go.

My parents got into town on Wednesday and then my mom drove over to Arkansas to pick up Susu and Dodo on Friday. Maxwell was very happy to see them as always…

On Saturday morning, Keath, Jen, Delaney and baby Nate flew in from Florida. I was so happy to get to squeeze on Nate…

He’s a good snuggler! Someone who’s not a good snuggler? Miss Delaney. She’s too busy running around and around! Most of my pics of her looked like this…

A blurry whirlwind! She never stops moving! I did manage to grab a few cute ones though. Here she is in mid-conversation…

Playing with Maxwell’s toys…

Checking out her reflection…

And just being a sweet little girl…

I sure do love her! Keath and Jen had gotten up at 4:00am to catch their flight. Combine that with a 4 month old and Delaney’s energy, it’s no surprise that Keath ended up like this on the couch…

The great GJ was here too, of course. Here’s a rare moment when she didn’t have Delaney in her arms!

Jen must have been corralling her at that point!

Everyone was getting lots of good Maxwell time in, including me!

Daddo and Dodo got in on the action too.

Then Maxwell and Daddo had a little chat…

Probably about cars or watches. 🙂 Not wanting to be left out, Nate insisted on a few snuggles from Daddo too and he was happy to oblige…

Maxwell then decided he wanted to check out Nate a little closer…

Maybe a little too close! oops! 🙂 Let’s try that again…

Much better! I love that these little cousins are only 4 months apart. I see big buds in the future! It was a fantastic start to the weekend. Much more to come tomorrow!!

Here’s a little sneak peak…

Knee socks and monogrammed shoes. The cuteness is killing me! See you tomorrow!

Would love to hear from you! 3 Comments
