Wishing the happiest of happy birthdays to the best around today. She’s the one that always figures out how to get things done, she’s always there for the important – and not so important – events, and she puts up with a LOT from all of us but still loves us no matter what. We are the luckiest to have her…especially these 3…
Not only is she the very best momma and GJ, but she’s turning into the best neighbor too!!

Last weekend we went down to Montgomery to celebrate a wonderful occasion – Granddaddy and Lou Lou’s 50th wedding anniversary! Robert, Ronnie, and Mary Beth planned a lovely party for them and we all had fun getting together, looking at old photos and videos, and celebrating the milestone.
Of course the cousins all loved getting to hang and help set things up beforehand…
That evening, the kids didn’t even miss us when we left – they were having too much fun at the awesome country club pool!
The party was wonderful. So many friends came to say “cheers” to the couple!

Pretty remarkable that all of our parents have lasting marriages!
I’m so happy and honored to be a part of this family and proud to say I’ve been a part of at least some of those 50 years!

Happy Monday! You didn’t think the Naples posts were done, did you?! Nope, there’s more! Some other fun things we did…
Trips to the beach club…
Swimming with cousins…
We saw a turtle!
We bounced!
We got lots of good rest (swimming wears you out)…
and we biked around the neighborhood!
Mostly, we hung out with our favorites, GJ and Daddo, who were so nice to put up with us!
We had lots and lots of good fun, that’s for sure.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end. On July 4th, we put on our red, white, and blue and made our way home with no problems.
Ready to go back again!
Once we got to Naples, we quickly jumped into all of our favorite things – and some new things because these kids have a LOT of energy!!
We rode bikes to the tree…
We went to see movies – The Incredibles 2 and a free screening of Captain Underpants!
We went for ice cream (and made cookies and cakes!)…
We dug out ALL the toys!
We got crafty after a trip to Hobby Lobby…
and went to story time at Barnes & Noble.
We even got creative (desperate) with a trip to the trampoline park! Gotta run out ALL that energy!
Of course, there was a trip to Target for some treats from GJ!
Mixed in with all of this was lots and lots of swimming!! More to come tomorrow!
