On June 26, at 31 weeks, Robert and I had the opportunity to do one of those 3D ultrasounds.  They actually call it 4D but that seems silly to me so we’ll stick with 3D.  Luckily, BBB decided to be super cooperative (which I’m hoping is an indication of how he’ll be as a newborn!) and turned his little head and body at just the right angles for some great pictures!

Warning – some of you might find these pictures a little “freaky”…but I guess that’s appropriate for Friday the 13th, right!  🙂

When his image first appeared on the screen all I could say was “Oh my goodness, Robert!  It’s your mini-me!”  His little button nose, full lips and round cheeks are undeniably Robert!  See?

BBB then proceeded to have fun with us and open one eye….

and open his mouth…I think he was trying to say “Hi Mom!”…

and then he got feisty and stuck his tongue out at us!

He thought he was real funny and smiled at us.

Phew!

It really was incredible to see these and know what this little guy looks like (sorta) already.  We are SO ready to meet him and squeeze on those round cheeks!!

8 Weeks

12 Weeks

17 weeks – it’s a BOY!

and 36 weeks!  Almost there!

At the 36 week appointment last week on Tuesday, August 3, they estimated BBB to be 6 lbs, 5 ounces!  My doctor is guessing he’ll be around 7.5 lbs when he arrives.  Sounds perfect to me!  Now it’s just a waiting game to see when he decides he’s ready.  I’m personally hoping he’ll hold out for another 3 weeks because I’d really like a September baby.  No real reason why…September just seems right to me.  If only it was up to me!
