Goal!!!

June 18, 2014

Go USA! I’m sure many of you have been watching the World Cup. I have not. I really couldn’t care less about professional futbol. The type of soccer in the pictures below is much more my speed….

Sure, the pro players are impressive to watch, but, I mean…Maxwell’s got some moves too!

And while the rock hard abs of the pro players are a sight to see, they aren’t nearly as squeezable as my little soccer studs…

and I’m sure they aren’t nearly as silly!

So, you all can have Brazil…I’ll take the school field World Cup any day!

Catching up

June 17, 2014

Just a few pics from the last several days around here.  On Wednesday and Thursday of last week, we had GJ in town which always makes for a good time…

On Saturday, Maxwell go to go to a birthday party for Ben and Hayes. It was lots of fun and he got to have a cupcake AND a popsicle!  A good party indeed!

After the party, we met back up with Robert and Spencer and all went out for a healthy lunch…

On Sunday, we played outside in the hot, hot, weather…

And we, of course, celebrated this guy for Father’s Day!

Sunday night we even got to go have dinner with Robert’s best friend from high school that was in town.  Fun all around!

Never mind!

June 16, 2014

So, we’re no longer moving.  We pulled out of the deal on the new house on Friday morning and are staying where we are!  On Thursday, Inspector Dave came and spied a few things with his little eye…

i spy

that made us back out. There were mold/mildew issues, moisture issues with the foundation, and sewer issues. Not to mention the fact that our cars wouldn’t fit in the 2 car garage! What?! That left us with zero parking space and a major issue to get 3 cars in and out every day. Plus, there was major work we were going to have to do on the yard.  All of that added up to the very easy decision to back out. Luckily we were still within the 8 day window so we were only out the costs of the inspections…which were worth every penny!

The good thing of all of this? It forced us to really get our current house cleaned up!  I’m glad we’re staying…this is where we should be right now!

See you tomorrow!
